Morier Ward - secure unit

A true nightmare experience dealing with over powered psychiatrist and moron nurses. Nurses that spend more time on their phones and looking at real estate, footy etc on work computers in work time. 3 nurses for 3 people out in locked section. Security guards using excessive force with 5 foot tall slender females. I'm reporting my/ experience to media as the tax payer needs to know the reality of a truly brutally broken system.

My mother was here for over seven months. There are some positives, majority of nurses are very friendly and kind. Major issue is the psychiatrists there. They do not help at all, and treat patients as criminal and evil. My mother had severe mental health problems, and the team had the audacity to just label her condition as “Behavioural”. And suggested my father should divorce her. Strongly suggest staying away from this place.

Morier ward is my go to ward when my mental illnesses flare up best psych ward I been to i been to a few inc glenside woodlice house etc

Giving it five stars for the nursing staff very loving, caring and attentive and minus 3 for the 3 psychiatrists, at the time, could be because they can't get a job anywhere else but a lock up facility as they don't know the difference between a healthy transformative breakthrough from a breakdown, hiding behind degrees, psychiatrist title and security doesn't mean you see reality of human behaviour properly, far from it.
