Just another part of the Adelaide Hills slowly being taken over by feral blackberry and olive trees.

If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature, Morialta Conservation Park is the perfect place for you. With its stunning scenery, diverse wildlife, and abundance of activities, Morialta has something to offer everyone

One of the best things about Morialta is its diversity. There are walking trails to suit all fitness levels, from easy strolls to challenging hikes. There are also a number of picnic areas and barbecue spots, making it the perfect place to spend a day with family and friends

Of course, no visit to Morialta would be complete without seeing the waterfalls. Morialta Falls is the most popular waterfall in the park, and it's easy to see why. The falls are over 100 meters high and cascade into a beautiful pool below. There is also a smaller waterfall, Upper Falls, which is located a short walk upstream from Morialta Falls

Here are some additional tips for visiting Morialta Conservation Park:

The park is open from sunrise to sunset.
There is a small entry fee for vehicles.
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing, as some of the trails can be uneven.
Bring plenty of water and sunscreen, especially if you are planning on doing a hike.
Be aware of your surroundings and watch out for wildlife.
Leave no trace. Take all of your rubbish with you when you leave.

Great walking trails and opportunity to experience wildlife. First fall trail easy to make it. The other ones might be challenging. It offers playground for kids.

Best waterfall and hiking spot in Adelaide. Great spot to refresh our mind with awsome therapy sound of waterfall, frogs, and birds. Naturally beautiful and would love to visit this place again. All thanks to my friend who suggested me this place.

Love the conservation park, great for a walk with kids as it's easy one for little ones. Good for photos. Get to see Koala's sometimes. Waterfall is always lovely to see.
Their toilets are clean and have a mini van for tea/coffee.

Always a good place close to the city to encounter with nature walking along picturesque trails. You most likely encounter koalas, roos and beautiful birds.

Amazing place to hike? For over 100 years, the gorges, waterfalls and woodlands of Morialta have provided a recreational escape for walkers and rock climbers just 10km from the city of Adelaide.

Enjoy the rugged ridges, gully scenery and seasonal waterfalls that make up Morialta Conservation Park. The three waterfalls along Fourth Creek are popular features of the park and are linked by an extensive network of walking trails. The views from the rock climbing zone also provide opportunities to admire Morialta Gorge and the nearby Adelaide plains.

The first two falls are the grandest, each cascading over sheer quartzite cliffs after rain. To see the falls at their best, visit the park during spring or winter when the water flow is strongest. For wildlife lovers, the park's rock pools and creeks provide habitat for small reptiles, frogs and birds. Watch out for honeyeaters and thornbills among the woodlands that cover the hills.

Adelaide’s biggest playground 'Mukanthi' can be found in the Stradbroke Road picnic area. There are five play areas to explore: Frog Island, Eagle’s Perch, Great Snake, Bird Nests, climbing boulders, paths and climbing trees. The playspace has a focus on natural materials and experiences to challenge a range of ages.

Morialta is slowly recovering from the millennium drought.
Today I just want to share some wildlife photos.
Edit: Added some orchids

A lovely spot for hikes with many options for different levels of difficulty. The falls themselves are beautiful. It can get very busy however, especially on weekends, making it hard to find a park close to the trails. Go on a weekday 8f you can, it's more peaceful.

Hello does anybody know if this park is open during the lockdown? Is there a gate or can I do my exercise here?

I have been visiting the park almost weekly for a few years. There are so many tracks that people don't know of.

I really enjoy hiking here. Trails are wide and safe, with a mix of easy to challenging. Very well maintained and a great place to take the camera for some photos. You can get up really close to the first falls for some great shots.

I adored my hike here. We did the Three Falls Hike, although it was easier than we expected. Beautiful scenery; you can see waterfalls, mountains, and the city. There's plenty of wildlife throughout. I can't wait for my next visit!
