Moonta Old Sweet Stop

This lil shop is so cute! The ladies there were so friendly. Love the variety of treats they have. The ginger beer is an absolute must!

Had the most unpleasant experience in the store this morning. Would’ve been a handful of people in there, as soon as we walked in we were barked at by the older lady to wait outside. Once a few had walked out we were once again barked at for walking in. Not a nice first experience. Other server looked miserable to be there also! Can’t say I’d be back just going off the service alone. Very rude and disappointing!

It's always a beautiful treat to come home and get some chocolates and treats that are still old fashioned and priced well.

So much to choose from! The ladies in there are so friendly and helpful and the lollies are so delicious!

Cute little old shop, very busy, nice selection of sweets, a little $$$ for lollies you can buy anywhere nice friendly volunteers.

Ordered and paid for milk chocolate cashews. Get home eat one and AB SALUTE Horrible they have no nut at all just Turkish delight

Very very small shop.but jammed packed. Allow plenty of time can only fit couple of customers inside and you need time to really look around. My husband eventually came out with our son beaming but wants to come back again to look more. Great selections.

Always lots of fun for the kids and the volunteer staff make it so much better with their love of lollies and service.

I love coming here. Always good quality treats.

The only thing that got me was that some times the volunteers push their old people opinions on us because they don't like a certain lifestyle choice.

That was a bit of a bummer.

However, 4 out of 5 times the staff have been nice.

What a great little diversion off the main road. Had all the traditional favourites. Definitely worth a visit.

Elderly women inside are friendly and the lollies are amazing.it is set up like it was in the mine times and has lots of lollies that the miners had

Love this quaint little shop. Definitely worth a visit. All the good old fashioned lollies available.

Great little shop. Loads of old fashioned lollies and current ones. The whole family got to choose one thing (and then went back for more later). Creaming soda was delicious. The ONLY reason for a 4 star and not a 5 star was that I was disappointed with the lollie teeth. Old fasioned lollie teeth were a soft chew and tasted a little like spearmint (like toothpaste). The ones sold there were hard to chew and some sort of raspberry or strawberry flavour. Overall I can highly recommend a visit.

Always a great place to go back to! Great childhood memories for the young and the not-so-young.
