We have been visiting this park every year for the March Long Weekend for about the last 5 years.
Each time we rebook beacause we have enjoyed ourselves so much, the location is excellent and it is fun to catch up with all the people around us that have also rebooked.
This year our experience was very negative.
Judy who has always looked after us and respected our repeat business she is no longer there. The new management team obviously has no idea about looking after existing business, the man was rude and arrogant to many of us. Very disappointing.
Our campsite is near the bin, which in previous years has never been a problem. This year it was. I was parked right on the road edge which meant it was very hard to get the van in and it was overflowing all weekend. Nice smell for us!
Most Caravan Parks when you rebook for the next year ask for a deposit of one night stay or if you have been a loyal repeat customer they don't even ask for one. These guys have asked for a very large one this year.
They are currently spending alot of money on this park and when it is finished it will be amazing, to go with its awesome loaction.
They need to address their Management Team as they have upset alot of regular Visitors this weekend.
I am hoping next year will be be a much better experience.

Been coming here for a few years. Daniel, not sure if he's a new owner or manager but arrogant and stubborn. Will not be coming here again, at least until new managers in place. Was a great place, nice location, good ppl that see here every year, just bad management. 2023, just so everyone knows. Eventually it might be a good place to visit again, and I'd like to know when that happens.

Lovely park with a policy of quiet time after 10pm which was not adhered to by a group of Van's who decided it was okay to party loudly till midnight on 2 nights running, very inconsiderate and annoying as they also had dogs who barked and yelped at all hours.

Amazing view but sneaky management. The women’s shower has no hot water and we paid extra for a water front site; however, our second night we were swarmed by a scout camping trip that we were not informed about. I really didn’t appreciate having 40 plus teenagers and their loud mouth instructors right outside my van!

Very disappointing to return to the Moonta bay caravan park this year after having stayed for many previous years. It seems the direction of the new owners and outlandish rude operator/ managers (that we have also heard from other visitors this year that we see regularly on our yearly stay) have made our first getaway under their control less pleasant in many ways.
Besides this disruption the beachfront location is beautiful.

We were lucky enough to stay in one of the brand new 3 bedroom 2 bathroom cabins, amazing it was in a great position with beautiful views of the beach and great to watch the sunset from the huge balcony area.

Stayed in the motel room. Clean and comfortable. Beds were great. Basic room but had everything that is needed. Reception staff friendly.

Currently on our day 3/5 night stay in one of the new beach view cabins. Absolutely stunning. The new cabins are like a hotel room and the views just can’t be beat. Will be back again for sure to see what the park looks like fully completed. It’s off to a cracking start:)

Very inconvenient not being able to take an additional car in when you have tents and then to not to be able to even take your car in on a stinking hot day to unload is very unaustralian to say the least. Never been to a caravan park where they don't trust you to unload as well as a short manner on the front desk. Nothing quite like sitting out the front of a caravan park waiting 1/2 for the other cars to unload

Fantastic position on beautiful Moonta Bay, SA. We had a beach side van site and it was about 2 metres from the beach. The facilities were a bit older but very clean

Well! Very disappointed with our stay in this park. Sites very narrow and not comfortable being so close to the next van. The amenities at the top of the park are in desperate need of repair with leaking water from shower heads and taps hard to turn on or off. The entrance door would not close or lock therefore no need for the code in the womens section. All the doors in the mens are broken.

An old-fashioned style family caravan park with modern amenities, strung out along the beautiful shoreline of Moonta Bay. We just came back from a couple of days there, relaxing by the ocean. Even though it's getting a bit chilly now, some of our party braved the ocean both from the beach directly in front of our site and from the netted swimming area off the jetty a couple of minutes walk away. I have to say that the showers were the best I've had - hot and powerful. Highly recommend for a chilled break (if you fish, you'll like it even more).

Fantastic 3 nights at Moonta Bay, we got 2 caravan sites with full beach view! Beautiful sunsets and the town now having a decent range of food offerings and coffee. Definitely will come back again!

Unfortunately there was a lot of work being done i.e removing cabins which didn't help the ambience of the park. Our Cabin OK apart from very damaged settee - not a good look. Disappointing.

We stayed for 2 nights on a beachfront powered site and absolutely loved our stay. Views were amazing, nothing like dinner watching the sunset on the beach! The downstairs amenities block was a little tired and only had two showers and two toilets, but it was a great hot shower! The park is a great spot for kids, lots of bike riding, plus the playground and bouncy pillow within the park itself. The beach was the real winner, with squid catching on the jetty, and playing in the rock pools at low tide. There is also the coffee shop and free council run splash park adjacent to the park. We will be back!
