Monarto Conservation Park reviews
4 We stopped for a quick look and ended up spending hours there, finding a variety of unique flowering herbs and shrubs and rich bird life. There is open native pine forest, mallee and open shrubland with no kangaroos and no kangaroo thorn.
The short walk from the far end of the carpark winds through most of the different habitats. The longer perimeter walk has nice views as well.
This is the perfect time to visit before it gets too hot and dry, just be ready for some soft sand.
Really enjoyed this walk. We walked the service road cut through the middle and joined up with the other walk on a path. Saw orchids, birds, 3 shinglebacks and lots of Spring flowers.
Sandy as. Don't bother with anything other than hiking. Nice otherwise.
Great park for bird lovers, I saw so many different types. Nice for a short walk or just to wander around listening to the birds and looking at all the different colours in the flowers. Dangerous for dogs!
