A great find, wonderful to have such a great bookshop and cafe in one. Spent a lovely wander browsing the shelves and then enjoyed a well made coffee and date loaf. As a coeliac was wonderful to see a great range of gluten free options too. Will definitely be back!

Lovely 1920s bluestone house converted to a lovely bookstore and tea rooms. Everything is home made and presented in a fun way.
Don't let the small servings fool you. The sandwiches, quiches, sweets and sconces will fill you up. The standard High Tea has all these and two drinks included. I opted for the Iced Coffee and a pot of Barossa Breakfast tea; a local version of English Breakfast tea.
Speaking of local, there was books from local independent authors for sale. Plenty of inexpensive second hand books for almost every taste across two rooms. There's garden seating out the back and on the veranda for those who want to take in the sea breeze or have your faithful pup relaxing by your side.
A charming experience.

What an amazing discovery. Old crockery, library rooms, garden, coffee, tea, have a glass of bubbles. Have been back couple of times, our new go to for coffee and tea. Read a book, browse all the gifts, have scones, but get there early it fills real quick.

We are always made to feel welcome at The Mockingbird Cafe. It is just such a quaint venue and the coffee is superb. My friends love the wonderful desserts on offer! We love popping in and recommend it to all who appreciates afternoon teas.

I really like Mockingbird Lounge: great combo of a place to grab a decent coffee and browse books and gifts. Service is friendly. On a sunny day you can sit out the front to watch passers by. I always seem to buy something when I'm in there!

Cute cozy booky little cafe/book/gift shop with private rooms available for book clubs.
Great selection of teas served in fine bone china.
Limited menu, but good food.

My wife and I just thoroughly enjoyed a high tea here for her birthday, it was fantastic. The food is stellar in both appearance and flavour and it is served in a really quirky environment that is exceptionally comforting as well as making you feel like you're getting away with being naughty and eating in library! The staff as 10 out of 10, they're a really friendly and happy bunch here. Would I go back? Hell yes! Would I reccommend this place to a friend? Hell no! Go and find your own awesome place to eat! All kidding aside, of course I would reccommed it, it's a fabulous place to be.

Really nice if you like coffee, books & handmade items, all for sale. Lovely old building with multiple small rooms with most walls having bookcases filled with 2nd hand books for sale. Lovely old furniture & crockery, with vases of Australian native posies to sit at & have a coffee &/or something to eat. Quite a small menu & only dark rye bread as an option.

Seriously love this place and having been going for about five years now. The staff are super friendly and accommodating for all our needs. They offer many different opportunities for local sellers, it's a book shop and it's just a lively atmosphere.

Best place for brunch, gift shopping and for conversations due to the walls padded by tempting books.

I often go here with my Mum for lunch.

I always get the Rueben. Has never let me down, great ambience and nice staff.
