I was surprised by the fact the food wasn’t very good, reading from many high staring reviews. We ordered 3 pecking ducks which were pretty average apart from the hand made Peking duck wrapper. The duck soup was overly salty, and the duck fried rice was dry. The sweet and sour pork was all soft by the time it had gotten out. The service was decent. Tables were a bit squishy though, having to sit 13 people on a table that should fit 8-10.

Came here for Peking duck which is ok, nothing super special & best to pre order atleast 24hours so you get a crispy duck. Other food was mediocre to say the most. No dishes had that Smokey wok-breath flavour. Hotpots were watery, deep fried beans were significant oily & shriveled over cooked. Don’t think we will be attending again.

The food was great quality. The Peking duck was the highlight of the night and all the food tasted genuine. I am very happy with the food here and would highly recommend it to everyone especially at Chinese new year!

Food is good. Wine is great.
We had Ubertas Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon single vineyard, a local from Barossa Valley.
Perfect companion the the lobster we had!

Excellent tasting food. The Peking duck was the best we've had in Australia. Our other dishes (fortune chicken, s&p squid etc) were also delicious, however we have never had San Choy bao with a prominent ginger taste before. So overall very, very good enjoyable food with quick service. $$$

Fortune chicken was dry and plain no sauce go with it. Scallops steam too much noodle on it very poor ingredients go with it. 3 main course pecking duck. I think the duck they got it from take away shop cold and old. No chef cutting duck in front of us. Pecking restaurent they still doing it. Stir fry vegy some cook some uncooked. Fry rice too much oil my kid can swim in it. First time I came back since 15 yr go. It was nothing like this was high quality over quantity. Even take away shop they do better.
I recommended to people if u are into quality food this is not the best place.
I gave 2 star for our drinks.

The Peking Duck is still absolutely top notch. If you've never had true Peking Duck, this place is for you.

Very traditional Chinese restaurant. Only 30 years old. Very bland food, but excellent service. Friendly.

Ordered two roast ducks and other stir-fry dishes. Because there was not enough space on the table, we said that two plates of the wrap cakes could be placed on one, then the waiter took the cakes directly with his hand. He looked at me for a moment and said, "My hands are clean. "

I packed two duck bones, and the lady boss put them in a plastic bag and handed them to me. I said, please put me another bag as put it in the car could get oil. She firmly said that it would definitely not be oily, and touched the bottom of the bag with her hand and said, "Look, no oil. " (it was the second time that I was refused to have another plastic bag for the take away duck bones. Last time was one month ago. The duck bones was packed with only one bag, but it was oily.) I walked back to the table with the bag, when I touched the bottom of the bag, my hand was oily. So I walked back to show it to the boss, she reluctantly took out a used plastic bag labelled 'Wanjia supermarket' and handed it to me.

I believe that there should be other roast duck restaurants in Adelaide. Even if there are none, we will not come back again.

Below average food and service. There are plenty of other better choices to choose from in the Gouger St area for authentic Chinese food. Very disappointing dinner experience.

Overly priced, undercooked flavourless food, filthy outdated looking restaurant with dirty carpets and rude staff. Never again

Food was nice but portions were small! Restaurant was rather dimly lit too so ambience wasn’t the best. Parking is easy to find as it’s not on the busy main Gouger St so that was good.

The service here was very friendly, they were professional and knowlegable of there menu. The food came out fast and it was all very delicious. The peking duck was so good wrapped up with cucumber and marinated in that sauce

BEST PEKING DUCK I’VE HAD IN ADELAIDE! Came here with my good friend and his son. Was greeted and felt at home right away. Ate like a king and had a warm goodbye. This is the place. Highly recommend!

Good service, tasty food and the food portion quite reasonable for the CNY banquet dinner per table. Will go back again to try out other dishes

The Peking duck is the reason we go there. The other main dishes are basic, servings aren't big and are overpriced. Decor has always been lacking. There is no baby change facilities in the toilets, the lighting in mings is terrible but we come back over and over for the duck and the great service.
