Millicent Swimming Lake reviews
25Best fish and chip I've had in a long time, and their lamb Yiros was amazing.forgive the spelling. If you're in town, give them a go. I would definitely recommend
Went for the food, hamburger was bloody good, very tasty and chips were the same. I've already been back for another one =)
The lake is essentially a large concrete pool. The water is treated with chlorine and is clear until sediment gets stirred up by swimmers.
Warmer than swimming in the southern ocean.
Super happy with this swimming lake, great size and heaps of shade. Kiosk is well stocked with the usual, food was great.
An amazing place to stop when coming through town. Great for a quick dip and tons of room for everyone.
If I owned the place I would turn it in to a trout fishing competition expo give prizes people would come from far and wide. At the moment it is a waist of space. The food is bad I ordered a chicken fillet burger the fillet was not a fillet it was a processed Pattie I told her to keep it thank you but I don't ear processed food see you buy keep the $ 9 I could not get out of there fast enough
Food is amazing as always but couldn't use the loo would have thought to put portable loo there also for the staff guess with covid to much to clean
Been here many times and its a great facility. Usually clean, friendly staff in the shop and good tucker. Today was a disappointment though. Mid afternoon the place is full of families, kids, bathers all enjoying themselves when all of a sudden a patron turns up with a large dog and walks it along the waterline for about 15 minutes letting the dog swim and bath as it pleased? There's a large sign which clearly says "No Pets", but this inconsiderate dog owner couldn't care less. From a safety perspective, the large dog was allowed to approach a toddler playing in the shallows. Not good at all. After this guy left a second dog owner arrived and waded into the water waist deep and the dog followed and was allowed to swim around for 5-10 minutes off the leash! I was really surprised and annoyed that this happened and was allowed to happen. There were workers there skimming the water and cleaning the lake etc. Nothing was said.
What a fabulous place! We were pleasantly surprised to stumble on this free "lake" built by the community. Well maintained and worth a visit.
Great time out with the family. Lots of space, great food also available on site. Apparent BBQ facilities available and lots of grass area to sit and have a picnic
Very good swimming lake, well maintained, totally recommend, shop has great food and staff are very friendly THANKS
Nice lake, clean and perfect for a relaxing day.just need a picnic basket and you are all sorted!
What an incredible place! Shaded, gated and a lovely atmosphere.
Showers are cold unless you have coins.
Clean amenities. Soft sand to play in
Kids always have a good time here large grass areas plenty of space to set up shade shelters are large easy parking
Such a credit to the lovely little town of Millicent.
This place and the whole town is spotless.
Well worth a visit.
The swimming lake wasn't even open because of the restrictions i don't see how that can be risk these restrictions are over the top my opinion!
The food at the cafe is well worth the price. Beautiful burgers with the lot are stacked so high its hard to get your mouth around them. Just like the good old kitchen sink burgers.
Fantastic free fun for the family, one of Millicent jewels in their crown. Excellent venue for all to enjoy
It’s really nice and free pool but unfortunately full of chlorine. People who suffer from sensitive skin conditions or chlorine allergy, like myself would certainly benefit from other ways of water treatment such a UV or ozone filtering.
