Mia Margarita reviews
71 On a cold rainy winters Friday lunch we headed on in for some tapa and margaritas to warm the cockles of our heart!
Friendly nice attentive service and whilst the corn fritter weren’t on par today, qudos to the chef, for owning the poor batter and suggesting alternates.
The cured tuna was on point with a perfectly salted guacamole - and the margaritas.parfait!
The Albondigas were spicy and delicious, the calamares tender and deliciously fresh, quesadillas a cheesy dream, the jalapeños poppers yummo:
The croquettes were creamy with chunky Smokey pancetta - and I felt like I was in Barcelona!
Love to come back on a busy night in summer for loads of Pablo’s Negroni! Good job locals
The meals came out pretty quick, but the meals were luke warm like they had been sitting out and found a hair in the skewers and rice. Customer service was average, when we politely and quietly notified the staff about the hair they didn’t even apologise. When we paid we were asked about our meals and we told them the above, they didn’t seem to care about the feedback and once again did not apologise about the hair. Overall we wouldn’t go back or recommend to friends.
Awesome food and drinks. The two guys in the bar with blonde hair are the best bartenders I’ve ever seen! 10/10 try the “sea shell sour”
We were unfazed by recent poor reviews and made a booking anyway. Our experience surpassed all expectations and certainly did not reflect what the reviews show. The service was friendly and welcoming, the drinks and food were served quickly and tasted great. We stayed so long that we had to move tables due to another booking but the team were happy to find us a table by the bar. I recommend you check this place out!
Bit unsure what to expect after reading some of the other reviews but had a great time.
Attentive staff that were fun and cheeky. Enjoyed very generous wine serves and food was delicious. Probably wouldn't order the dessert Nachos again but look forward to visiting again.
You know it's bad when they disable reviews on facebook! Food is more focused on looking good for instagram than actually tasting good
Food was ok but it was served luke warm which made us question if it had been sitting out. The wait staff are so rude and so inexperienced. A friend organised a birthday cake and it was meant to be a surprise, then when we asked for the cake to be brought out they brought it out IN THE BAG that we gave the staff too. So poor and very disappointed and this place has such a great atmosphere and prime location going for it. Sad to write this review but owners need to learn that service is key to maintaining a strong business: (
Dodge dodge dodge!
Don't ever do buisness with these people you will NEVER see your money.
I took my boyfriend here for dinner for his birthday and we were left so disappointed by the below average food and terrible service from unfriendly staff. Being a new establishment they were under the pump but it showed. Way too noisy to even have a conversation. Overheard the waitress rudely ask the group next to us “when they would be finished because they needed the table” when they were only half way through their meals.
Arrogant management do not care about customer service when given feedback and have disabled reviews on all social media platforms. So much potential, but unfortunately only great for an instagram photo. I wish I had never wasted my money here.
Where to start?
The service was great, can’t fault the staff but the food was bland. Didn’t taste like Mexican.
Here is a summary of our group experience with dinner.
- no greeting on arrival (we had booked a table and were not sure where to sit or what to do)
- took ages for order to be taken
- lack of menu knowledge and dietary requirements
- lack of vegetarian substitutes (simply took meat off nachos* with no replacement and paid the same $) *by nachos I mean half a bag of CC's with Bega cheese on top
- tacos tasted like cardboard
- "was the meat cooked? " A question on our lips
- we had a time limit on our table despite 4 other free tables. We were not told this when we made the booking- just had a 15 minute and 5 minute warning even though we were still eating. Staff were not friendly regarding this and had attitude.
- Margaritas were good
- I understand they have only been open a few weeks so maybe still ironing these issues out
