McDonald's West Terrace

The food is McDonald's, so.you know what quality to expect. I come through for morning coffee, or occasionally to grab lunch. I feel really sorry for the staff. They always seem understaffed, and more than a few times drive through workers have apologised for the wait and explained they don't have many people on. People trash the inside of the store and there's usually rubbish left everywhere and leftover food spilled/dumped on tables or the floor. When possible, I usually go to the Hindley St McDonald's because it's a lot cleaner and a nicer atmosphere.

Last week I was there, the girl almost threw my drink at me through the window with a grunt. Not overly impressed.
Previous occasions have been pleasant service.

Best quarter pounder I've ever had. Whoever was making burgers today at 5: 35 did a great job. Promote them.

Awesome for time like this I'm very hungry, along the road. It's accessible parking lot are plenty of space.

It's ok, you know what you're getting. I just wish they didn't slap the burgers together without care

The store was a bit untidy and I saw a manager having a chat with a school kid who appeared to be sitting in with his feet on the chair and surrounded by chips that he had dropped. Looks like the store has a tough time during the week and then on the weekend too.

The food came out quick and it was fresh

Nice location, but often times can be a bit dirty. And there are random people screaming at night normally Friday Saturday nights.

Computer system down, no drive Through, no cash register, couldn't take cards.
Pretty confusing. But paid cash, good coffee.

This is a complaint against the duty manager (Asian looking) that was on duty this evening (18 Oct 2021).

The duty manager was exceptionally rude, uncough and publicly humiliated us at this restaurant.

We were redeeming some items with an employee (black - she was wonderful), and politely checked with the duty manager if the cold fries that came out 10 minutes ago could be exchanged for warmer ones. As the fries came out straight away while the counter employee was still organising the others for a while, we wanted to just ask. It is fine if it can't be done, but what transpired shocked us.

The duty manager shouted at us in front of everyone saying the following in a threatening, loud and intimidating manner continuously.

"This is not my problem"
"This is your problem. "
"I don't care. "
"Do you want your food or not? "
"There is nothing wrong with my attitude, I am the manager. "
"You are the problem"

We asked for her name, but were refused and not given.

What happened next was even more unbelievable. The duty manager who shouted at us like some stray dogs took all our food on the counter and threw them all into the bin in front of us. She said among others

"No food for you. "
"You can stay here until we close. "
"I don't care. "
"Everyone get back to work. "

We were left trembling, shocked, hungry and humiliated.

Is this how Maccas train their manager to treat a customer? To intimidate, bully, stand over a customer and leave them in tears in a Maccas in front of everyone?

Is this Maccas' customer service?

No one deserved to be bullied this way. We feel so traumatised by the experience that we will not go back to a Maccas.

We deserve an apology from Maccas and a personal apology from the duty manager. We are going to recount our experience on social media to help other people avoid being bullied the way we did.

Not bad. Although I did ask for extra hot coffee but it was only warm. They were very busy though.

This is probably one of the most consistently good McDonald's in Adelaide. Much better than the ones in Rundle Mall or Hindley Street. Fries are always fresh and hot and the place is very clean

Girl in cafe unifrom was yelling at all the customers and then when someone didnt come and get their food she threw it on the counter.this is really unprofessional.she was rude to us as we went to get our food

Very rude staff! Shouting on customers and the staff especially the two girls working at the front.
I understand there’s a lot intoxicated people around but their working attitude is not acceptable.

MacDonalds West Tce is on the corner of Hindley St. It has a drive through and a car park for customers. It is popular throughout the day. Inside and outside dining is available or people often eat in their cars.

Haven't be to Macca's in years. Staff really helpful when ordering, seating area was very clean and the deluxe crispy chicken fillet burger was delicious.

Thos mcdonalds was alright, the food was average mcdonalds food i guess. Although there was a dodgy man who walked up to EVERYONES car, holding a 50 cent coin begging for money. In result of him not achieving to con most of the customers in the car park, he started walking INFRONT of incoming cars and stoping them in the middle of the road while holding the same 50 cent coin, not to mention the unsettling fact how he was looking inside of cars, almost as if he was about to break in, and how the staff couldnt even notice he was there

The person in front of us at drive through did place quite a large order, but I don't see that as being reason to wait 15 mins just to order. Service was then also incredibly slow

Mostly this Maccas shines but when they stuff up it is by half’s. I only got half my double quarter pounder and one of my two cheeseburgers tonight. Didn’t find out till I got hone.

Fast, very friendly and convenient service. Just issues with order screens showing errors, and generally untidy. Still it is a very busy place, with yummy food. It happens.
