McCue's Bakery reviews
56On a pit stop travelling from Melbourne, after walking around for 20 mins on 27 Dec to find an open bakery/coffee shop, were lucky enough to stumble on this little gem. Great sausage rolls and pies but especially the coffees were done to perfection.
The long queue out the door says it all! McCues Bakery is a Murray Bridge institution, and it's easy to see and taste why. Everything is genuinely home-made with pride and quality ingredients. There's lots of old-fashioned, delicious cakes and pastries, fresh cut salad rolls, and good coffee. But McCues is famous for its pies, pasties, and sausage rolls. Service is fast and friendly, so it's easy to grab a takeaway or sit inside when you have the time.
** I never eat pastry, but the pie crust was light and flaky. The outdoor area is pooch friendly too. Follow the locals and people passing through.you won't be disappointed!
Fantastic food - great service. Can get very busy at lunchtime, so be prepared - but service is quick and efficient. The desserts are amazingly good - worth stopping in Murray Bridge just for this! One of the few bakeries who regularly make Napoleon Layer cakes - my favourite!
I recently visited McCue's bakery and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their food and service. The savory slice I tried was delicious and definitely worth trying. I also really enjoyed the fresh salad rolls - they were packed with flavor and perfect for a light lunch. The customer service was great as well - the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. Overall, I highly recommend McCue's bakery. It's a popular spot for a good reason - the food is top-notch and the service is excellent.
Being a ex South Aussie, I always love coming back and having a plain pie a savoury slice.
Average at best no toilets Cold to warm pasty… Kitchener buns stale bit of a shame could do so much better but don’t I won’t be back Maccas for me how sad is that!
Nice airconditioning inside with plenty of tables. Outside tables too. Had Cheese Kransky which was spicy and a fruit mince pastry with icing which was delicious. Lots of staff equalled quick service once we decided what to get.
Stopped in for lunch on our day trip to Murray Bridge. Food was really good. We took home a Napoleon cake. Definitely the best Napoleon I've had. Worth the trip just for the cake
Great bakery, lots of selections to choose from, pies were average the gravy could’ve had more seasoning and maybe seasoning the mash potatoes on the potato pie. That’s in my opinion so may be different to other peoples flavour palettes.
If you love cracked pepper, the Drovers Pie is a must! The coffee was sensational️ as well.
10 out of 10 customer service by all staff at McCue's Bakery, with a special mention of a staff member Molly! Thanks Molly - 100% awesome customer service!
We will visit McCue's Bakery next time we are in Murray Bridge!
Thank you!? ️
Good bakery I just prefer my vegetables cooked through in my pasties. Bit still half raw and crunchy
Great bakery. Good selection of heated food (pies, pasties, hot dogs etc) and buns cakes drinks too. Only complaint was the wait, but thats cos it was so popular and the reason for that was the good food.
Small area for seating if you wish to dine in, easy parking around the corner. Will be back when I head to Murray Bridge again.
Walked in with a craving for bacon & eggs. It's not on the menu but the girls couldn't have been more helpful and in just a few minutes I had a beautiful plate full of delicious bacon, eggs, tomato, toast and a hot choccy on the side. Cheers guys for making my day, Daz
We were very pleased with our overall experience! The ladies were very pleasant and our food was absolutely on point! Most beautiful pie and pasty we have had in a very long time! Thank you!
A great bakery with lots of options.
Indoor and outdoor seating.
Gets very busy at lunch which I guess is a good indication of how much people like this place.
Lots of staff on hand who were friendly and efficient.
Just love the fresh selection of various bakery goods.sweet and hot foods.i pop in everytime we come back from adelaide coz the food is very high quality.do try if you ever pop into murry bridge.
Had to wait quite a while to be served. The pasty and sausage roll looked anaemic. Taste wasn't much better. Cakes were ok.
Great fresh foods all tasty great pasties with the original flavour always a grestvbakery to put on the list for the drive through
Actually the birthday cakes were fine though a little too much cream.
A little disappointed that they had no gluten free to offer. Actually most bakeries can but don't realize it.if they offer a chicken salad roll.just take out the roll it's gluten free. Not hard really.
Lots of cakes for your choice. The Mother's day sponge was extremely tasty, the only thing was the icing on the cake was a bit too sweet. Thanks!
