MAY Q Korean Restaurant & Bar reviews
28Ordered their famous Budae Jjigae and crispy K-chickens! Really good. 1 order of Budae Jjigae is enough for 4-5 pax.a good place to chill on Friday nights and weekends with friends.
Food…Killa staff…. Killa soju…KILLA
top tier everything can’t fault nothing
What a place to start a night out or have dinner
thanks for having us!
Very friendly, genuine and accommodating service, we felt so welcomed here and the food is amazing! Portions are generous as well. Highly recommend!
The food was ok. Though I wouldn't recommend serving lettuce in a hot stone pot - the lettuce gets very wilty very quickly.
QR code ordering is fine, but results in pretty impersonal service.
Side dishes (kim chi and bean sprouts) were not very generous.
Great quality food and fast service, we called up 7pm Saturday night with no booking and the staff were still able to accommodate us.
Edit: the fact that you replied is impressive enough to get 5 stars. We will visit again:) You still need to update your opening hours here though.
Said they are open till 9.
Got there at 8: 10, sorry closed.
Which is fine, but maybe update your hours if you're going to close early when it's quiet to prevent dissapointed potential customers.
Heard great things about this place had to come in to try. Ordered 2 things since we only wanted a light meal.
Seafood pan cake: very underwhelming, it was mostly vegetable and batter. The flavor is ok but the texture is all wrong, not crispy enough and too caky. Overall 4/10
Banban fried chicken (soy/ sweet chili) very flavorful sauce and crispy yet tender chicken. Portion size could be more generous but maybe it’s just because it tastes too good. 9/10
Friendly staff, cute decor, reasonable priced. Would recommend 8/10
A brilliant place, warm atmosphere and beautiful food! This place always brings a smile to my face, and leaves my stomach just as happy as I. Worth every penny.
The famous homemade spicy sauce coated Korean fried chicken is amazing. Also, the fried rice cakes on skewers are a must try. Overall the place is pretty good and you can always find a table for 2 without the long wait in the queue.
Stopped in here without a booking and they were able to accommodate us. We were greeted at the door very quickly and shown to our seats. Ordering is done at the bar, and they brought our order out quickly, so service and wait times are great.
Food was delicious, and portions were just right.
Worth noting too, is that they have Korean craft beers, which I haven't often seen in other Korean restaurants. Very cool.
We'll definitely be coming back.
The food was amazing, everything was good and as much as my spice tolerance is low, it was all delicious. The only problem i had was the price of everything as well as the soju being $17 per bottle. Staff were nice and welcoming and the music was good as well (maybe a better range of music would be good as well for atmosphere).
The food was delicious! Will definitely recommend to friends. Fried chicken was really good, and the cheese corn was my favourite.
The boys at the restaurant were courteous and food was served within minutes. Excellent work. The dishes were okay but would have liked more flavours. The ambience is more suited for a quick meal.
We ordered dumpling gangjung (fried dumplings glazed with sweet chilli), sizzling spicy pork, and sweet and chilli chicken for our dinner at May Q today. They were good, might be a bit too sweet for some people but not too bad for us. Also be cautious if you can’t eat spicy food as they are quite spicy too. The chicken dish was a bit oily.
Spacious tables in the restaurant, which is a bonus.
This is a great place to get Korean food! The service was fantastic and efficient. Booking is a good idea as it gets busy but definitely worth it! The food was incredible and very fresh! The staff are very friendly and attentive to your needs! I had a great time here and highly recommend coming here for a good feed
Wow! What an experience!
My partner and I booked the same day for our anniversary as our other Korean restaurant was booked, however we couldn't be happier. The service was very prompt and we hardly waited before our entrees were brought out.
Simply put, the food was incredible. The rice cake skewers, fried chicken, dumplings and combination calamari/pork sizzling dishes were phenomenal.
I also thought the bottle of souju + 2 Cass beers for $29 was very well priced, as well as the other wine offerings. Easily top 3 best Korean restaurants in Adelaide for sure. We will definitely be back!
Tastes amazing but portion sizes are a small for their price. Service was solid and the atmosphere is enjoyable.
Great food and service. Also opened on Sunday night which was fantastic as many places were shut. Thanks
Had dinner with fried teok and army stew. I do feel that the food was overpriced, army stew was great but would not pay $39 for it usually. Fried teok was very spicy, if you have low spice tolerance there are other side dishes you can try. Also found macaroni in the army stew which was a surprise. Soju was $17 a bottle, quite overpriced as well in my opinion. Staffs were very friendly and accommodating after all.
Thank you to Jay wearing the “Mukbang” shirt for being such a legend! Great at dealing with customers and some difficult ones too. Amazing service and amazing food.:)
