MatchWorks Modbury reviews
6I am very happy with my consultant Karen she has been very helpful and welcoming. She’s very understanding and helping me work towards finding a job.
Lisa was very helpful and understanding, genuinely one of the best contacts I've ever had at MatchWorks.
I wish her all the best for the future.
I am leaving a 5 star review for this place based on my most recent consultant Lisa Anton. I was very saddened and rather shocked to hear that she is leaving. She is a very creative, inspiring and motivated individual and is able to adapt to many different personalities and situations. Her emotional intelligence and great communication skills make her easy to talk to about any concerns which is important for someone like me with anxiety/depression. She has the ability to make you feel comfortable while remaining professional and working hard to reach goals. She was the one that decorated the office at Christmas and got groups of her clients together to go walking in Summer. I want her to know how loved and appreciated she is and will be sadly missed. Also wanted to give a special mention to Simone Villano at the same Modbury office who is just as amazing as Lisa. I am blessed to have been a client of both these wonderful humans and am relieved that at least Simone is not leaving because she is one of the kindest souls I have met in this difficult process of finding a job with a disability and zero confidence in yourself. It is these kinds of people you need to have working in this field: Hard working and professional whilst passionate and empathetic.
Possibly the longest review I've ever written but completely worth my thought and time as Lisa should not have to leave without knowing her amazing worth.
I’ve recently had the pleasure of working with Lisa. She has been really professional and very caring. She understands me well and what I am looking for.
I have been really impressed with the level of service I've received from this job provider. Lisa has been such a great worker, she really understands me and what I'm looking for with my employment journey and is excellent at her job. She knows exactly what jobs will suit me and I look forward to our meetings It's honestly been such a weight off my chest as Centrelink have been an absolute nightmare to deal with. If you get matched with this provider you will be in great hands, they are fantastic!
After every appointment and phone call I felt mentally drained. With my anxiety, one of my biggest triggers is guilt and I can’t stand it when I think I’ve done something wrong. It generally sends me into an anxiety attack when I’m being told I’ve done something bad or wrong and at MatchWorks Modbury, I always left with this feeling. I was desperate for work so I felt like I couldn’t say no to anything but was put forward for jobs that just didn’t fit me at all. They aren’t bad people here, but I feel like they aren’t well suited to be dealing with certain disabilities. They can be a little too forceful, harsh and insensitive. Now that I’ve found a Disability Employment Service who really understand how I work and make the effort to get to know me and my disabilities, I can see just how wrong this place was for me. I was crying after almost every conversation with them and now, at my new place, I’m listened to, dealt with in a very respectful manner, and my thoughts/feelings are NEVER dismissed, which happened a bit at MatchWorks. My mental health has improved since I left these guys.
