Master Chef Indian Tandoori reviews
41Authentic food served in this Indian restaurant on south road. Good sized portions, reasonable prices and delicious flavours. One of the better Indian restaurants I have tried. The interior is a little old and worn but that doesn't take away from the food which is the whole idea of going out to eat. Well worth checking out.
Absolutely loving the Chicken Madras and Goat curry (that's perfectly balanced spice for my taste buds). I haven't been around Adelaide much but would definitely recommend the Dum Biryani here which has been the best to date among all the other places I've tried so far.
Open during the week for lunch!
Most Indian restaurants were closed till dinner time, so was happy to stumble upon this joint.
Atmosphere:
Quite cosy with traditional design. Bollywood video was playing in the background.
Mains:
Chicken Madras and Beef Korma.
My Chicken Madras had good consistency. Chicken quality was average. The main let down was the flavour. Overly salty and peppery, which is strange for a curry. Size was generous.
The garlic naan was superb, one of the top few I have had around Adelaide.
The saffron rice was lovely and light.
The mango lassi was quite good.
Overall rating 3.8/5
I've driven past this restaurant so many times and wondered what it would be like.
It's not a very pretty looking place from the outside but the inside is very clean the menu is very well priced portions were good and the flavor was amazing
Looks are deceiving im looking forward to my next visit
Had mutton biriyani from here. Food was really good. But, if they could reduce the waiting time, that will be good.
Food is delicious, Rao ji and his wife serve whole heartedly. I am a regular to this place even though it is far off from my place, the trip is worth it.
Had a really bad experience when I ordered food.
Ordered for idlis and dosas from this place and got no sambar.
We found that we had been given a chicken with rotis (which we never ordered at all!)
I usually do not give reviews unless the experience has been really bad. In their case, it is not the first time we have had such an experience and that's why the rating.
I will not order my food from this place again and neither will I recommend it.
Amazing authentic Indian cuisine
The mango lassi is are awesome
Staff are friendly and helpful
Food was delicious. 5 families went together. Very spacious and affordable. All items were very tasty! Kids enjoyed well.
Sorry to say but I bought the cheakpea masala, roti and naan today. It was the worst food ever. There was strange smell coming from naan and the taste of the curry was the worst. Sorry but please avoid naan and this curry and save your money. Other curry may have good taste though. But I'm not trying this restaurant ever again.
Worst service, no respect on phone call when I am sharing feedback on ordered food item.bad behaviour
One of the best Butter chicken I have had in Adelaide. On our request the chef made it little spicy which was perfect and not too oily.
We enjoyed the Goat Biryani alot. Quantity was good and we were surprised to see a good amount of goat pieces in it. It was so tender and well cooked. It wasn't a layered biryani but had the flavour. So for those who don't like too much masala it's perfect.
We also enjoyed the butter naan along with the butter chicken. Finally we ended with a nice Hot Masala chai in cute matkas. Had a very nice casual, relaxed and gr8 Indian food nite. Will recommend to everyone to enjoy your missing Indian cuisine at Master Chef.
Good place for having south Indian dishes. On the menu it is on Chef specials. Masala dosa is a must try. The only place I know that serves this indian snacky dishes. Good for vegans.
Food is not tasty. They have no manners how to behave. Service is too bad. Nobody goes there. ️
Tried Hyderabadi Dum Biryani Today Goat and Chicken super great taste, Authentic aroma, meat was tender & very well cooked basmati. Highly recommended if you are after some authentic Biryani.
I’ve been in Adelaide for long time and i must admit this is one of the best places if you are after authentic Indian food, their biryani are best in the town, no match for their south India’s cuisine especially Dosa,
Sitting arrangements is great, ambiance is good.
Would recommend chef suba and this restaurant. Thanks
Not so great when comes to delivery. Not reliable
Food quality is dropping slowly too
Great on ya master chef lol
Be cautious of ordering after 9pm even tho the restaurant appears to be available til 10pm.
It is Thursday now 11pm and despite 2 follow ups with Menlog. I have no food, but a refund. Not helpful Iin reality. Menulog seems to be protecting this behavior to a degree. Honesty up front would have been helpful. If you can't meet the Menlog commitment say so up front. The customer will then have the option to order from another restaurant.
Amazing food
They are such lovely people, always look after the customer, the food is fantastic, reasonable prices, best customer service in Adelaide!
Taste of the food was moderate. Service was lousy. No one was there at the counter to take our order.
