Marden Markets reviews
20On the smaller side, but thus not overwhelming. Almost all fruit and veg, all of which seemed cheaper than the supermarkets by a lot. E.g. Capsicum today for $2/kg. Also one Baker with items like garlic bread, regular bread, pizza bases and dounuts, and a plant store with indoor and veg seedlings. Every where we checked had card payment available. Some sellers are very friendly, others matter-of-fact, but none rude or pushy. Will be back next week.
Cheap, fresh and friendly, and very handy to linear park and bus routes. Will be a regular!
Marden Market is conveniently located with ample parking space. Typically featuring over a dozen stalls on Saturday mornings, it primarily offers fresh produce and fruits. We also found some charming decorations and pins.
Went a bit late look around before you buy. Its a commercial style farmers market. Goo again
This farmer's market, open every Saturday morning, is a must-visit for anyone who loves fresh, locally-sourced produce. The vegetables are always exceptionally fresh, and there's a great selection of homemade baked goods and beautiful flowers. I make sure to stop by and stock up every week!
Great little markets, has seriously saved me money buying fresh produce. It last longer and it supports our local farmers.
I've given this 5 stars, not because it's a ' fantastic ' place but because of it's very reasonable prices for veggies, and the hard working friendly nature of the people who run it.
Last week, tomato $5-10/box (10kg approx), bags of small cucumbers $3,3 punnets of strawberries $5 etc etc, if you're around the area worth a look.
Update Saturday 13 May 2023, with the changing of the season tomatoes now $25/box, also bakery goods x two stalls, otherwise much the same, plenty of carparks too
I am amazed. The veggies are fresh and jaw dropping cheap compared to the supermarkets. Only a few shops but we were able to get a week's worth of veggies easily, lots of choice.
Also, the fresh bread shop is a must try.
Excellent for fresh food at great prices. Direct and good value! The baker is amazing. The best sourdough but only every second Saturday. Sometimes, if it is raining, some stalls will not be there. Best to go early!
Vehicle access needs looking at. Vehicles access is too close to the markets and not safe for young children.
It was ok a little pricey but everything has gone up and they hike the prices up and blame Covid-19
Great market with plenty of fresh produce, most at very reasonable prices.
Also has fresh bread, cakes, eggs, plants and flowers.
Fresh fruit, artisan at work, plants and books for you. Aso meet a Muslim, ask questions, and have true understanding of interfaith harmony
Fresh vegetables and fruits are sold here. You will also be able to meet a Muslim in the market and hear firsthand about the teachings of Islam.
Love the Marden markets. Fresh local produce which is always more affordable than purchasing from a supermarket. Not to mention supporting the farmers.
Everytime it was a good experience. I mostly go to shop from the lady at front with a small table who have an old model camry. She is so polite and a happy person to talk. Also, she provide food items at cheap prices.
Local, fresh, inexpensive fruit and veg market. Only 5 regular stalls but it means you can get in and out quickly. Great value, easy parking. I've been going most Saturdays for months.
I love this market! I come every week and their Italian Doughnut is to die for! BUT the old owners of the veg and fruit left, and the new owners are really unfriendly. Whatever, it might be me, but its such a cute little market!
Those guys are great, their produce is top quality, whilst there isn't many stalls the staff are very friendly and regulars are generally noticed, easy to establish report with the staff.
Been going here for a couple of months now and there's some real quality food bargains to be had, my favourite being the $2 Italian Donut (monster).
