Marcellina Adelaide reviews
59 My recent visit to this pizza store was disappointing. I ordered two large pizzas, which cost a steep $53.5 – a price I found unreasonable given the mediocre quality. Although I saw an online deal for $47.5, the cashier claimed it was an outdated menu and charged me $50.50 instead.
To make matters worse, I had only $50 in cash, previous visits to this store, the cashier accommodated small change without hassle, but this time, refused, citing the POS system's limitations. This departure from their usual customer-friendly approach was disheartening.
To top it off, the garlic bread has always been a letdown, tasting as if it had been frozen for months. Overall, this experience falls far short of the standards I've come to expect from this pizza store, and I'm reconsidering my future patronage.
*edit*
Just double checked the online menu with deals.version 11 and Dated 20/12/2023.what! Are these guys serious about out of date. So they also LIE to your face. What a joke.
Came here for a work lunch. The American pizza was good, I appreciated that there wasn't masses of cheese on it. They managed to serve 12 people in less than 30mins, which is pretty impressive, and the majority of our meals came out at the same time, and hot. Fair pricing, would come back again.
Congratulations it was the Best Pizza we have had in a long time. (The Lot)
Garlic Bread wasn't crunchy but still tasted ok. Delivery was pretty quick and easy to collect it. It was a great meal. Thank you from some Country Folk. We will definitely order again next time we are in Adelaide.
Pretty sure this is one of Adelaide most famous pizza institutions or that how I was introduced to it when I moved to Adelaide about a decade ago and it still is I'm pretty sure.
Great pizza, great customer service, very friendly and fast service. Pizza was excellent, great toppings
Good pizza place. I took an adonis without salami because I don't eat meat in size 18''. Yes yes I was hungry. Well she was very good. The ingredients were very tasty and I love pizzas with thin crust. I find that it leaves more room for the taste of the ingredients.
Delicious pizza!
I had an Adonis, with flavorful olives (then the feta + artichoke heart combo, it's so good).
The order is made at the counter and we don't wait long before being served
Well clearly the family size is huge (I'm a big eater and I could only finish it halfway) No worries, because obviously they make doggy bags
This place has delicious food here. The Marinara seafood with feta noodles was really fresh, flavourful and filling, Loved it, also the fish & chips was really nice too; the fish was really fresh, moist, tender and flavourful, nice crunchy batter and tasty fish. Good & fast service, friendly staff and nice atmosphere, thanks guys

Been here a couple of times since it's near. The pasta dishes and pizza are good. Not spectacular but fairly priced. Had the arancini balls for the first time last time. It tasted better with tabasco sauce and chili flakes. Can't go wrong with desserts, though! It's what I come back here for, honestly.
Great location near the Uni. Loved their pizza - perfect dough and cheese! One of the best pizzas I have had in a while. Nice selection of bottled beers and wines. Will be back!
Terrible servicemen my colored friend was told to order food at the counter and had to get her own cups and waters, and they were extremely rude to her. But when a white couple walks in they got table service and got there were very nice to her. They also welcomed them In Very happily but we were rudely told where our table was, will never come back. And pizza base was very doughy and wet. Will never be returning!
My brother and I came to visit last night for dinner after being told the Greek place across the street had sold out of Yiros at 6: 30pm
Whilst there was about a five minute wait before someone came to serve us and it's not indicated clearly that you can seat yourself it was a good experience overall.
I ordered a Parma and chips and my brother got the salt and pepper squid - the food was hot and delicious and the drinks were cold and refreshing. Will definitely be returning!
Omggggg food was amazing and very friendly staff well done Marcellina as usual always good
Thank you Marcellina.
If you're drunk and this is the only place open, sure. But make sure you are plastered first. I let my travel companion choose this place for dinner against my better judgement. The bases were disgusting and the vegetable toppings crunchy and raw. I could make a better pizza at home - even if I was plastered first.
We called on a Friday night to make sure we could get a seating because we hadn't booked in advance. The staff were very accommodating and welcomed us warmly when we arrived. Service is not rushed and we had ample time to peruse the extensive menu.
We went with the aranchini squid plate and meat balls bruschetta, which were so yummy there was no time to waste taking photos - we just had to taste them straightaway. Our mains were the chicken marcellina, Adonis pizza and scotch fillet The pizza one of the best looking art i have seen and amazing melting in mouth, The chicken was delicious - both visually and taste-wise. Steak was cooked to perfection and the sauce is a magic It was also very filling, more than enough for 4 people. We will definitely be back to try more of their delicious dishes. Service was great thumbs up for all the staff behind the scene.
Would not recommend eating out here, we ended up waiting over an hour and a half for our food to come which was barely average. The staff were rude and weren’t honest at all about the wait time or lack of staff that potentially caused such a big delay. We sat and watched multiple customers walk in, order and receive their food before us even though we had ordered before them. Their customer service was terrible and we would’ve at least appreciated the honesty in telling us how long it would take. Very disappointed, would not come again.
Dining is amazing for pizza, however delivery/pickup service can be a little hit and miss at times.
I've been forgotten about after asking whether my pizza was ready and told to wait on the couch, as well as extremely long waits for delivery at odd times because they will happily take orders when only 1 staff member to cook *and* deliver.
This conflicts me, I'd rate their takeaway/ delivery 1 star, but their food is so so good when dining in that it feels mean to punish the dining scores.
You can’t call this traditional Italian pizza sorry. It make sense now that I realised that the Marcellina CEO is from Lebano. Nothing wrong with the Lebanese community (very lovely people actually). However, you can’t run a supposedly “Italian “business if you have never even lived in Italy and understand the Italian culture & traditions? It is definitely clear that you guys have not understood how we actually make pizzas
Simply change the name and colours of your business.
Suggestions: maybe in your website you should write - making / selling “Lebanese or American style pizza” just don’t mention anything correlated to Italy - thank you
What a dinner we had.everything perfectly cooked.and excellent for the price.and the young lady who waited on us was very cheerful and friendly,
Not sure what sort of Lasagna is this but ham and cheese in a bath of boiling not-sure-what sauce served with spoon and parmesan cheese on the side. Unfortunately the non-italian chef has no idea about italian lasagna. I asked for water and the waitress told me to go and pick it up myself in the counter; what a service. I wonder why the place was empty when I've got there. Sorry i cannot recommend this place.
