Makis Yiros Shack Cafe

The experience was absolutely surreal. From delicious and hot chips to exceedingly supreme yiros, the restaurant promises to amaze each and every customer! The owners and staff are so friendly, it makes me want to come back the very next day. Lovely vibes; superb restaurant overall!

Can describe my Chicken Yiros in two words. BLOODY HORRIBLE. Hardly any garlic sauce 2 pieces of tomato, chicken was dry and tasteless. Bring back the original owners.

We ordered take away butterfish and chips as we were staying nearby- the fish was fleshy and well cooked and the chips lightly salted with herbs. Not at all fatty. Great friendly and fast service.

Brutal, over priced and under cooked. Not only was the service horrible the chicken was under cooked and pink and the chips were cold. A hospitality venue such as this one should be shut down with in the next month

YUM! Had a combo yiros today - meat was so delicious and flavoursome. Salad fresh, good amount of garlic sauce without overpowering the flavour of the meat - overall not oily or dry. Just perfect! Will be back again for sure!

Worst ever experience. Lamb was not even edible. Even ask them for exchage then in exchage chicken was uncooked raw.
Wasted my money for nothing.

Beautifully made juicy Lamb Yiros with tasty garlic sauce & fresh salad served by very friendly customer service. We can’t wait to come back to the bay and enjoy this delicious food again

Fantastic Greek-style yeeros/yiros. Well spiced lamb cooked on a vertical spit, great salad and sauce all wrapped in a Greek-style pitta bread. Yum. Also.the greatest, tastiest and non-greasy, crunchy potato fritters!

Excellent food, just right next to the beach i would recommend going here for a yiros any day of the week it was just amazing

My grandkids and I ordered three yiros and an ab pack for lunch here today. The lamb was the worst ever, not one single piece of it was edible. It was chewy and disgusting. We will not be eating there again.

Blokes running this place are rude as. Told me to hurry up when ordering food. Way too expensive. Literally $25 for a thing of chips and a quail amount of chicken. Unbelievable.

FOOD POISIONING BY LAMB DON'T EAT HERE the lamb was RAW and didn't notice coz covered in sauce and burnt on the outside. The girl at the counter is clueless on the order when we went to pick it up.ruined my mini vacation with my mother. I can't imagine how raw the chicken was if the lamb was like that coming up.having it to hot burns meat on outside and leaves raw in the middle cooks to quick

The chips were perfect and crispy the yiros was exquisite and wasn’t thick like other shops. Their food is also great for families so go visit them and their awesome staff member’s.

Wayyyy over priced and very average yiros and abs. The worker seemed so uninterested and moody. Save your money and don't go here!

Very friendly and pleasant people.
My only negative is that if I order food to "dine in", I would like it to be on a plate with knife & fork, not a takeaway cardboard box with plastic fork. However, the food is too good to give any less than 5 stars. Try the yiros meat. Mmmm.

Seriously if you are going to spruik you have the best yiros you have to deliver, on this its close, its quite tasty. Unfortunately though its where it ends. The packaging of the chips and gravy is so impractical and does nothing for the flavour. Now granted being in a popular area I get it, you're busy. Seriously though the wait is incredibly long and little care is given to speed things up. Im not usually this harsh but sometimes it needs to be said. The two is for the yiros, it is nice.

"If you want food poisoning go here! " these are the words my brother has to describe this place! Uncooked lamb and chicken missing ingredients and terrible allergy precautions. I specifically asked for NO tzaziki sauce due to my allergies. I told them quite explicitly and I went to hospital after there inability to take ingredients off. This place is terrible.the people that work here are moody and terrible. DON'T GO HERE!

The chips were hot but at the same time super stale
The meat was reheated and lacked in flavour
For that price you can find much better oprions right around the corner
