Lukoumades - The Greek Donut / Toucan Tango reviews
35The absolute worst loukomades we have ever had - take a look at the picture. They should be golden brown in colour and not soggy and smelling and dripping of dirty oil. The oil you cooked these in is filthy, and needs changing…. Absolutely disgusting, you should be embarrassed
Food's good, refused to give a cup of tap water to a 2 year old after we spent 34 bucks there
$15.50 for burnt Donut fries which were fried in old oil. Couldn’t eat them. Overpriced and disgusting. We definitely wont be back
Ava & Mary on Thursday night were so lovely - had the best dessert & service definitely will be back when they’re there!
We had the best time thanks to the amazing service from Mary, Ava and Jasmine, they are an asset to the business!
We tried the original and the nutella donuts and they tasted so good! They were very warm and were a blessing on a cold night out. I would definitely come back here to try something else too.
Do note that there isn't alot of tables as it's a restaurant designed for take away mostly and there isn't a customer bathroom either.
I tasted the best Lukomades at Port Adelaide Greek Church, can you imagine what happened at this shop? Lets just say they were flicked off the jetty. Yuk Yuk.
Donut is tasty, very special flavour. It taste like fried mochi with chocolate & honey sauces, a bit too sweet but still nice.
Twice we visited during our holiday and both times the staff seemed to have an attitude problem. If they actually acknowledge you, it's with a cranky face and talking to you like they'd rather be anywhere else and you'rethe scum of the earth, not a paying customer. Couldn't believe how rude they were! Greeks are famous for their beautiful hospitality, shame there is none of that at this store. Nice enough donuts but will go next door to the amazing ice cream shop next time.
Terrible experience, asked for a fondue and told they had no fresh fruit asked for the fruit to be replaced with icecream and told no we aren't doing fondues at all and cant do deep fried oreos as well. Then asked for a baby cino and told the frother on the machine was broken. Wasn't offered any alternatives and felt like an inconvenience rather than a customer. It's a shame cause this place used to be good.
Second time I've been to this store (Henley). The staff seem to be above the customer. No thank you, no appreciation or interaction. Ordered takeaway then got asked if we were taking it away. The staff need to realise that the customer is the lifeblood of the business and a 20 year old disrespecting you is a very off-putting experience. The product was very good despite the attitude problem. However the disrespect is remembered long after the product quality. Sad blemish on an otherwise good business.
Gave me nuts when I said I was allergic and was not apologetic offered no refund when I told them about their mistake
Really enjoyed the Nutella locked & loaded. Great place for dessert with a variety of options, small clean shop with tables for dine-in as well as takeaway options
Sooooo delicious dessert, soft, hot, and tasty. They also sell coffee which is perfect pair flr the dessert in a cold weather. It was not busy when we came so we were able to get table and chairs for us 6 people. Since they are not a restaurant for proper dining they do not have big space, they do not have toilet for customer.
Love that it is open late! Freshly cooked, satisfying and scrumptious.terrible for my diabetes. 4-stars because I wish there was more in a serve for $12!
Worst customer service, it seemed like they were too busy worrying about uber eats orders rather than the customers in the store
Visiting from Melbourne! Wow, wonderful donuts crispy, golden on the outside perfect in the middle. Very welcoming and pleasant server, will be coming back again next time
Overall very poor quality and a disgrace to true lokma doughnuts. They should be celebrated for their simplicity but instead are drenched in as much sugar as possible throughout the menu. Honestly not far off at all from the chain 'San Churro'. Both establishments are just poorly made fried dough covered in the standard cheap chocolate toppings. Unauthentic and disappointing. May as well be called American style donuts.
Went to Lukomades, to order Lukomades. Waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged then went to order and then was told that they couldn't make Lukomades tonight, they were not busy and it was at 6pm. Horrible service, first and last time visiting.
This place serves what it promises to serve! Delicious dough balls with a variety of flavours!
But I cannot get over the burnt oil smell and deep-fryer-oil infused air inside the shop.
