Lucky Ducks Aldinga reviews
26Long-time local, first-time diner. What a fantastic experience - I don't know why it took us so long. We're omnivores but we'd happily leave the animals in peace if we could eat like this every day. We ate at Lucky Ducks a week ago and we're STILL talking about the food. Literally impossible to pick our favourite: the satay tofu was divine (never thought I'd write 'tofu' and 'divine' in the same sentence!), the sticky rice cakes were the ultimate comfort food, and the eggplant was next level. Still losing sleep trying to work out how to recreate the finger lime and black sesame brittle. No photos, sorry, all eaten ;) Great place, lovely humans and fabulous food. Go - you won't regret it.
Firstly, I need to apologise.
. The food was soooo tasty, I didn't take pictures!
Seriously, this place is a date night you need to experience. The food is amazing, super tasty and a beautiful journey in itself.
The cocktails are delicious. I tried the Hot Coconut Buttered Rum, and this was like drinking a delicious Christmas pudding
I also tried the Maple Hot Toddy, again tasty but the rum had won my heart
Book in, and enjoy every moment! Visit on a Friday or Saturday to experience the Feed Me menu and get the full Lucky Ducks experience.
You will not regret one moment!
Edit: I managed to snap the last dessert, oh boy. This was unreal!
Really good and thoughtful food, recommend ordering shared plates rather than individual orders. The Feed Me selection is very generous!
Pity there were some large young dogs inside at dinner, the barking was really disruptive and a bit scary. The wax on the tables isn't built for the cleaning fluid so it's a bit sticky. Otherwise good music and decor.
Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff, atmosphere and food was incredible. Your one of a kind. Keep up the amazing work your a cut above the rest. #regularsnow ️
Very classy vego cuisine, creative and tasty dishes, excellent cocktails, relaxed atmosphere, one of the best restaurants down here non-vegetarians would love this too. Expensive but worth it.
I'm writing this review half way through my meal because I'm desperate to tell you how amazing this place is. We came here by accident, and have no regrets. It is quiet, with chill background music, space for chilling, cosy but breezy. The food was fantastic - wasn't that hungry on arrival but totally wishing I could lick the plates clean haha. Burnt tofu is so, so good (pic is half eaten). Will totally come here again.
So amazing! Had the most wonderful dinner, and the food was prepared with so much care. The wait staff were amazing, and in particular Monique! She was so lovely and accomodating, and took every measure to make sure we had a great night. I cannot stress enough how lovely she was! Thank you so much, honestly the best dinner I have had thank you Monique, and lucky ducks!
Wow - what a magnificent place!
We’ve been to vegan/vegetarian restaurants all over the world and in the eastern states and NONE are better than this Aldingan gem.
We shared the sampler option and so glad we did - every single dish was magnificent!
The chefs here have lifted the quality, appearance and selection of vegan food to a new level.
Combine this with excellent friendly service and a relaxing attractive venue - it’s got the lot!
Now we realise the significance of this restaurant’s name - their clients are the “Lucky Ducks”!
We’ll be back…. And back……. And back.
Thanks to you all for a great vegan experience.
Lucky Ducks is without a doubt one of Adelaide's most delightful new resteraunts. Flaunting an all vegan menu with dishes that not only look outstanding but taste every bit as good, Lucky Duck boasts attentive staff and a wonderful semi-outdoor seating area. I am kicking myself for not photographing the food as it was so beautifully presented - arguably some of the nicest plating of any menu I've ever had.
Overall, Lucky Duck is a feast for the eyes and taste buds, and is the easiest reccomendation I've ever given.
Food tasted great but $65 per head for 3 of us for a 9 course meal that consisted of 2 people servings is a bit bizarre, we were all starving after and ended up going to cafe primo for another meal after a 9 course meal? (one of my friends doesn’t even eat that much and she was starving too!)
We had the Feed Me menu and the smoked cocktails - holy wow. This place is a total vibe and I love it:) The food is so good - vegan or not:)
Dined there with 5 friends. We all absolutely loved the food. We ordered the entire menu except for one dish. Plenty of food for six and there was nothing left. Food was beautifully and simply presented and tasted amazing.
Cocktails were great too.
Would definitely travel to eat there again.
First visit to Lucky Ducks. Highly recommend. Karaage cauliflower, mushroom and ginger dumplings, mushroom rendang, crispy taters, charred sweetcorn all delish! Everything was delish, just can’t remember everything we had. Flavours were amazing.
Oh my lord! What an amazing meal! Had the ‘Feed Me’ and it was worth it. Our tastebuds were challenged at every new plate that arrived. Service was exceptional. Wish I could rate higher than 5 stars. Even bought a T-shirt! I was with my non-vegan husband and he was delighted by the meal also. Now that’s a win!
Amazing place for something on the fancy side. Lucky Ducks caters to all types for eaters and allergies. The non alcoholic drink range is great & the staff are amazing at what they do. I love the rustic Aussie atmosphere and the fact that this is a place that could cater to anything type of dinner/ party; from a young family, to a date night or something like a hens day celebration. Cannot recommend Lucky Ducks highly enough. Thanks for an amazing belated birthday dinner, I’ll be back again soon
A missed opportunity. Service was great, ambience is excellent, food was tasty enough
But, the main corse, what a joke. Mine consisted of 2 mushrooms and some salad. The five of us had fnished our meal approximately 30 mins after arriving (we had entrees too)
Reinforcing the stereotype of vegans eating very minimal, with limited selection is what you have achieved.
Regardless of cost the amount of food served was very poor.
Incredible food, beautiful venue and great service. So excited to have discovered Lucky Ducks. Easily one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. I highly recommend to all.
The food was divine! Everyone loved it and we tried everything. The atmosphere is also great and staff were very attentive. Great range of delicious cocktails too
Took my dear old Mum here on a Friday night and we absolutely loved it! Fantastic, friendly staff and a gorgeous setting. The food was EXCEPTIONAL! I might be bias as I am vegan, but it truly was delicious. Absolute stand out being the shitake and tofu dumplings. If you are vegan or not, this place is a must.
Food was amazing packed with so much flavour. I’m not vegan/vegetarian so was a little worried about how my dinner was going to be but wow I was very impressed. It’s definitely worth sharing plates with friends so you can taste a bit of everything. Service was great staff were friendly.
