Louca's Seafood Restaurant reviews
69Great choice for lunch. I had 6 super fresh large oysters, incredibly delicious seafood chowder and a desert to remember. Thanks team Loucas
Quite simply our favourite restaurant in Adelaide! The King George whiting is outstanding. Service faultless. Greek salad simple and delicious. Chips cooked to perfection. Not cheap but worth every cent.
Fantastic Restaurant!
From the time my wife and I arrived to the time we left, we were provided top notch service from Dalton and another waiter.
The food came out very quickly and it was absolutely delicious. The oysters were great and my seafood chowder was the best I've tasted.
I have no hesitation in recommending Louca's Restaurant.
Amazing food, service and staff. Everything was delicious and staff so helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back
Finally went here after driving past for years. Totally exceeded expectations with great food and friendly and professional service. Thought a lot about it afterwards that this place really has their act together. Great to see from another local business Brian 48 flavours
Beautiful and very cozy. The food is to die for especially the oysters. We will definitely be frequenting Louca’s
My husband n i both had been planning to try loucas n got the chance just recently.we both ordered the sea food pasta n absolutely loved the flavour.the service was outstanding, ambiance was simple n elegant.n the baklava with the coffee ice cream was heavenly.we got a special treat from the chef as well to celebrate our citizenship ceremony which was a very generous gesture.thankyou for making loucas so very special for us! Will def come again for more seafood.
Travelling for work, I turned left out from my hotel and happened upon one of the nicest dining experiences of my life. The restaurant is unpretentious and I could easily have walked past it. Inside I was transported to Greece. Elegant decor, and well-trained, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. The food was humble and flavourful. Clearly the Chef and kitchen staff are supremely good at what they do. Just delightful on every level, it has me thinking about moving here. Definitely a 5-star from me.
Can’t fault this place. The King George whiting is big juicy and delicious. Always crispy chips and the best Greek salad you’ll find. We keep coming back and that won’t change. Our fave restaurant in Adelaide.
Other than. Some odd interactions with a server (nothing bad just odd), everything was great. They accommodated our walk up request for a table, everything was great. Service was fast, food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Not good for coeliacs. Spent all night with cramps after eating here. Even after being guaranteed it would be safe.
We ordered two starters and two main courses. As a starter, I could have sworn the king prawns came out of the freezer on just chopped green lettuce, but I can't prove it because I forgot to take a picture. Main courses were prepared rather carelessly and served with mayonnaise (?). I will not come again.
We had a lovely dining experience here. Friendly wait staff and a great seafood, Greek inspired menu. As a non drinker I was thrilled to see they had the B1654 alcohol free wines on their list. Food was delicious. Only disappointment was I didn’t get informed of the lobster linguine which looked out of this world. Nice to see a good fine dining option back in this inviting venue. Can recommend.
Loved the meal that much that I did two nights in a row. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Adelaide
Peter who owned this pleasant venue, made sure that we our customised request were made to order as what we’ve ordered wasn’t listed on the their menu, I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Well done Peter & your great staff for the great work. Highly Recommended.
Every item we ordered was delicious! We had the eggplant dip and pita, kinfish sashimi, cream oysters, seafood linguine, lobster linguine and finally the custard kataifi dessert.
Lovely ambiance, Female wait staff smiley and friendly. One male wait staff should be trained to smile and be more personable to customers. Food quite nice, but too many chips with fish and, what seafood restaurant has no oysters. Bit more of a glorified fish and chip shop, but pricing is up there.
Went to loucas last night for a special birthday for the first time.
Pros:
- Interior was lovely, tables and setting, cutlery and noise levels in the glass function area were lovely
- cocktails and sashimi dishes were fabulous
- service was great at 530pm when we arrived, the waitress was also kind enough to take group photos for us
Cons:
- Mains were pricey and literally a piece of seafood and plate of chips. No different to pub food, would have expected more from a fine dining restaurant, ie greek wedges or garnish or something
- Service after main course was non existent.we had to ask for the cake that we brought the day before, which they couldn't find and took ages to bring out. Then had to wait even longer for them to cut it. It was more than an hour between when we asked for the cake and when we ate it. We paid $44 for them to cut the cake, with no garnish or anything, and took over an hour. No water on the table during dessert, everyone's drinks were empty and when we asked for water it was more than 10 mins for it to arrive. Waiters were ran off their feet and it wasn't nice to feel forgotten about for the last 1.5 hrs.
Paying $900 for this we wouldn't return unfortunately. Lots of potential if they improved the food dishes and service.
The restaurant's decor is nice and inviting. Friendly staff and the service is acceptable. Table setting, cutleries and the menu are lovely. Food wise, the scallop ceviche and oyster were very fresh and nice. The salmon looked nice but not balanced, touch too oily and over cooked. The grilled prawns were not seasoned properly and lacking for flavours. The wine list and quality were nice. The staff need more training for wine suggestions and the dishes on the menu.
When you see pricey dishes on the menu, you expect higher quality food.
