The decor is pretty much as you would expect, but it's clean, neat and tidy.
The service was attentive and very polite.
We had one of the banquets. We were impressed following the soup and entrees to be asked if we would like a break before the mains came out. Sometimes in similar genre restaurants, banquets can be served far too quickly.
We (two of us) had the $33.00/ person banquet. There was plenty of food and it was generally very good. In fact, despite being pretty peckish when we arrived, we couldn't eat all the food.
We were asked if we would like a container to take the leftover food home, we didn't even have to ask for one.
It's also BYO bottled wine if you wish at a very fair $8.00 per bottle.
Did we love it? Yes.
Will we go back? Yes.

If you are after a "traditional australian interpretation of Chinese food (90s style) " then this is good. Easy and fast service.

Great restaurant, great food, Wendy was a great hostess who was genuinely happy to be at work serving people.

Went for dinner tonight. The service was lovely by the staff tonight, the food came out quick after the orders were taken and the atmosphere was nice. As for the food, we had the Hokkien noodles, honey chicken, pork in plum sauce and beef in blackbean. It was extremely scrumptious, definitely some of the best Chinese food I've had in a long time and will definitely recommend to friends and family and will return next time we're in the city.

Well balanced menu, cooked in Cantonese style - just beautiful food.
Staff are so patient and knowlegable. Restaurant has been in this location for 21 years, and the experience of the staff and chef really shows.
Also important in these Covid times, the attention to cleaning between sittings was very thorough and reassuring.
Glad we found this place - we will be back.

I have been going to the Lotus restaurant for many years. It is top quality food from a great menu. Wendy and her staff are genuinely friendly and just want you to have a great meal and an enjoyable time (they also do takeaways to cater for the Covid situation). Highly recommended.

I have had tons of great experiences dining in Lotus Restaurant. They serve amazingly authentic Chinese food and you can easily feel that sincerity that is poured into every dishes! Services provided are 10/10 too! Will definitely come back again, well done!:)

Best takeaway or dine in Chinese restaurant we have found in Adelaide so far. You get what you pay for if you enjoy quality food. The banquet option for dine in is excellent value for money. You will not go home hungrey. Staff do there best to please but the management are friendly warm and generous. Choosing this restaurant will make you an important part of their business and they want to hang on to your custom.

Service was good. Food tasted not particularly fresh. Roast Cantonese duck was very dry. Batter on chicken was thick and soggy.
Salt and pepper squid was oily and lacking flavour or spice. Below average.

Overpriced, filthy restaurant, all the other customers were unhappy. Rice overcooked. Chicken undercooked. Never again

Poor food my partner I ended up getting sick after sending back something to the kitchen which wasn't up to standard. I've eaten at a lot of Chinese Restaurants and this is by far the worst. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Terrible service and physically threatened us when complained about their furniture moving throughout our dinner.frightening that this happens and they believe they can do this to paying customers.it has been a terrifying experience and needing police involvement. NEVER AGAIN
