Loco Mexican reviews
43What a hidden gem. Amazing service. Food is absolutely beautifully made. Fresh ingredients with balanced flavours and aromatic dashes. Definitely coming back!
Kinda disappointed, been wanting to go here for a while after seeing photos of yummy food. That is NOT what we received. Very small portions of overcooked and bland food.the birria taco was ok, the best out of the lot.
One of my favourite places to eat in Victor Harbor. Food is always fresh and packed with flavour. Delicious! Feed Me option always great if you’re not sure what to order.
Definitely will be back. The chilli prawn tacos are the most perfect way I've eat prawns ever. And I'd been craving prawns for a while.but dayum had to go back and get more and will be back another day for more too. I can't get over how perfect it is and the mango aoli like what omg I could eat this daily!
Had the beef taquitos, beef and chicken tacos and wished I’d ordered the tropic like its hot cocktail (char pineapple and spicy tequila) an all round amazing experience
Was great! Second time here and loved it! Will be coming more often! A couple things that could be ironed out but we learn from experience. Would just advise when little mistakes are made there be at least an apology or compensation.
A local who regularly gets take away from locos, last 12 months quality dropped but tonight it's back! Not sure what happened but fantastic tonight guys, just like when you first opened
The food was excellent, although I was surprised at how small the ceviche was compared to my last visit. The flavor of the ceviche was also a bit fishy. Our mains were perfect, and the staff were very friendly.by far the best restaurant in Victor.
What a ripoff. Used to be our favourite eats in Victor. This time got a small piece of shoe leather pork belly on a small handful of undressed coleslaw for 34 bucks. Wife's burrito bowl had overcooked rice out of an Uncle Ben's packet. (tasted like) when we told the staff, they just said oh sorry, didn't bring out any more food and charged us full price. Were going to order dessert but changed our mind to never going back again. All the good meals are missing from the menu, heard a couple of patrons say as much. Disappointed is an understatement.
Nice place in downtown Victor Harbor. Good food, compliments to the chef. Normal portions, not too large as usually happens in Mexican restaurants. Good value for money. Great service, all waiters are friendly. To try!
Dined here tonight. Visiting victor harbor from Adelaide for a few nights.wanting a break from the pub meals typically found here.
Walked in and greeted to a table right in front of the check in or cash register when I had requested a quiet table two weeks ago when I booked.
Sat down and given menus. I ordered a margarita $18. Expensive. But it was well made.partner ordered a corona beer. We ordered pulled beef burritos. $22 each. Food came out after 15 minutes. No problem with that. The food was bland and tasteless and in the small side. Burrito smallish, salad was bland and small and the cheese sauce was gross. No salt and prepped on the tables but the lime chilli sauce saved the meal. I ate because I was hungry and was left unsatisfied. Ordered Spanish churros to share. They were okay but I have had better. They came out with a caramel dipping sauce. I would have expected something with chocolate or coffee flavoured being a Mexican place. But I must admit the homemade coconut ice cream that was served with it was superb. The highlight of the whole evening! I don’t know if it was just our meals but I haven’t eaten here before but I was bitterly disappointed. Will I visit again? Maybe just to try another dish to see.
Staff were polite but aloof and detached.
Very good enchiladas, elotes and tacos. Great service and atmosphere. Pretty awful ceviche, which tarnished an otherwise great meal.
Nice food and decor, however, communication between the staff was not great, we had 4 different staff ask us what drinks we wanted one immediately after another after telling them that we needed a bit longer to decide. Also throughout the whole experience different staff asked and gave us different things?
If I was basing my review just on food it would be a 5, I highly recommend the burrito bowl, but we went here on nye and there wasn't really much of a vibe and the service was ok, but not amazing.
Had a really poor experience as we had to wait over an hour for our food to only receive the wrong order and when we told the waitress, we were dealt with very rudely.
Chefs deserve a pay rise after the the INCREDIBLE food they just presented us! A mix of entrees and tacos and not one thing disappointed! Super friendly staff made a lovely night.
WOW one could go crazy over this place,
great food pleasant service. More tastes than your average Mexican.
Location can be difficult to find due to road closure, long waiting time.
Food and service are great, probably the best nacho I’ve had, strongly recommended, I’d also recommend the barramundi popcorn.
~$45pp with alcoholic drinks
Always go here I highly recommend this place the food was amazing and the decorations were so cool and the buffalo wing where 100 billion out 10. From Rex Hughes, aged 9.
One of the better restaurants in Victor with attentive staff serving tasty food using fresh ingredients. Well done!
