Lobethal Bakery - Mt Barker. Gawler St reviews
21 It's a real food experience
Lots of parking, mouth watering as you enter the store.
Had a nice coffee there but my pastie was pretty ordinary.
Lacked orange vegetables and mince hard to find.
Service good and shop clean and well presented. Prices average compared to other places.
Have not been very well so bought a serve of their Swiss Potato soup to take home. Man was it good! Just wonderful! Feel so much better! From previous visits their pastries and coffee are fantastic too. Lovely service. Highly recommend.
One of the best bakeries in the Adelaide Hills, most of the items are baked at Lobethal and come down to Mount Barker, they do great coffee too, give them a go if your in the area
Well located bakery and cafe business.
Service is prompt and the presentation of what's on offer quickly catches the eye
Plenty of seating available
I reckon this bakery scores above the "famous" Port Elliot bakery in quality food, friendly staff, and cleanliness. Admittedly, I'm not a fan of doughnuts, so I can't compare those. I had a bolognese pie and a mug of hot chocolate for $11. Very tasty.
I had a mug of mocha with soya milk and it was great. The coffee wasn't too bitter.
I also had a pistachio profiterole, so nice.
They have a great selection of cakes, pies and bread's.
Just had coffee. Very busy. Short wait for table. (8 persons). Service great.
19: 12 - lunch with family. Delicious and great variety of choices. Service great, very busy, full house as well as outdoor tables.
No cutlery available as all in the dishwasher, staff had to look for knives for us to eat our lunch. Pie was only luke warm, very disappointing as it was our first visit since new ownership.
Be careful! The food and service here is absolutely divine. You'll be going back for seconds!
In 2016 we visited, from WA, Millies and loved the fruit mince scroll. Unfortunateley they no longer make it, watch this space, but the range of products are at the top of the charts. It is great to see a new owner continue in the same vain as there predicesor.
Well worth a visit.
We are going back to WA

Nice upgraded space. Warm and spacious, good selection of pastry items and fresh made rolls, sandwiches etc.
Lobethal Bakery is a very pleasant bakery to go to. The food is always fresh and the coffee is always hot.
Big carpark out back, seating outside and plenty of room inside. The usual bakery products and hot pies but also a good selection of served ice-cream.
Always a great range of hot & cold fresh produce. Indoor & outdoor seating (weather permitting). Friendly service & clean.
Used to be Milly's bakery, now Lobethal, upgraded premises and the usual great bakery products, good parking area from the main road, friendly staff and reasonable prices, recommended
Only been here once since it changed from Millie's Bakery and the food was delicious
Took off 1 star as the service was good but thought it could improve. The food is definitely worth going for though
Stopped here last weekend. We ordered the chunky steak pies. They tasted pretty ordinary. The steak tasted like sandwich steak in the pies. Our coffees tasted bitter. And the service was bad. Not enough staff!
I love the food, prices and service. The strawberry donuts are fabulous but I would prefer them without sprinkles. I’d also like to suggest that you produce a pineapple or passionfruit donut - if your talents at choc and strawberry is anything to go by, they would be a sensation! For your consideration…puhleez
