Lobethal Bakery

Its a lovely bakery, unlike other bakeries I've been to this one feels homey and welcoming.
I had a meat pie and a frappé, they were very basic but I quite liked them.
The staff are friendly.
This is officially my new favorite bakery.

Had lunch with sister's, good food, good prices, clean neat and tidy, if I am ever back in Lobethal I will go there again.

Meat and myshroom pie, lacked taste and was a but burnt.unfortunately don't think I'll be back

Very popular place to get lunch always lined up out the door when I go but the staff get through orders In a very organised but fast paced fashion and are always polite. Highly recommend a visit and Always lots of variety.

Always a perfect stop for a pastry, doughnut or coffee!
Lunch service with a wide selection of sandwich and pies, is often perfect and filling for a reasonable price.
It can be hard to get a seat sometimes, but they do have a lot of staff servicing customers, so takeaway service is always fast.

Great selection and quality of food, with an equally amazing level of customer service! Love the bakery and could not recommend it any more.

A busy bakery and a favourite amongst the tradies which is a good sign. Wife was very happy with her tasty turkey and salad roll and said her 1/4 shot flat white coffee spot on. My Bolognese pie was superb along with my curry kranskie quite mild but with a 5 minute time lag bite to it. My long black coffee was a tad on the weak side so am glad I didn't take up the server's offer of "Did I want any milk with it? " (Me thinks she should have said cold water with it?). Such is life!
All up we were glad we stopped there.

Lobethal Bakery is the best bakery in SA.
They have a huge range which is always super fresh and just the perfect pastry on their products

Great selection, lovely staff. Plus they introduce new items now and then - I'm loving the new smoked salmon pretzel roll at the moment!

Didn't intend to eat but was tempted by their potato pie. Hot chocolate with generous serve of marshello great too. The owner should be proud of his staff. Friendly and efficient

Not sure if the recipes have changed for the pies and pasties but the chunky steak pie diddnt contain chunkst and tasted like dish washing liquid. The BBQ chicken pie was so loaded with herb flakes it was nearly green and all I could taste. No BBQ flavour in site. Lovely pastry, but the fillings are now pretty ordinary unfortunately. Breads, cakes and icreams are delicious.

Only way you can go wrong here is to not stop or arrive too late when they've almost sold out. Great pies and pastries of all kinds!

Was sooo impressed with the lovely girl that served me today at the lobethal bakery @ lobethal when i asked her if any of their cakes are made without eggs as my grandson can't eat eggs yet.she was so helpful that she went above & beyond to find out what ingredients are used for each recipe in the huge recipe bible book! Thank you to that nice girl, i'll be back tomoro to buy my grandson & finger bun! & other cakes!

Very delicious baked pies and desserts, with good variety and taste really fresh. No Gluten free options though and not recommended for coffee.

Large and spacious interior with smiling faces to help serve you and prep the food and coffee to your table.

Amazing! So fresh and delicious. 100% will be back. And everyone driving past should stop and have something to eat. You will not be disappointed

I use to have lunch at the Bakery when visiting clients in the area and instantly fell in love. I haven't been for around 8 years due to moving and found it has been beautifully refurbished and wider range of food and even icecream. And still tastes amazing pastry is simply the best around.

Good coffee but pretty average chunky steak pie. Salt must have been the main ingredient then gravy the a couple of "chunks" of steak. Pie split in my hands and threw it in the bin while waiting for my coffee.

Had a premature sandwich? It was terrific. Coffee and cake also. Must stay away or I may get fat.
