Since I'm the pastor of the church I guess I'm a bit biased ;) Living Word Church is a Bible teaching focused church that is passionate about knowing Jesus and making Him known to our community and world.

I have found Living Word Church Tea Tree Gully to be a really sound Bible teaching Church. The sermons follow the biblical text and are all about content rather than feel-good fluff. They mostly aren't topical; the focus is on preaching through entire books of the Bible without fear or favour so that we receive the whole counsel of God. This is done in a dynamic and engaging way so that the substance of God's Word can be accessed by as many people as possible. I look forward to the sermon each Sunday, fully expecting to gain something of worth and to spurred to continue my growing-up journey into Christ-likeness.

I have found the songs that are sung in congregational meetings to have real biblical content; we often sing the gospel. Importantly, there has never been any emotional manipulation or romanticising of the Christian life, which the Bible tells us entails persecution and hardship for the sake of the eternal kingdom. I have often benefited from reflecting on what I am singing, even as I am singing it.

The whole church is excited about the development of the newly-acquired space next door (currently under way). It will be used for a range of youth and children's ministries, both on Sundays and throughout the week. We are crediting the Lord with this amazing gift.

One aspect of church that is often not thought about is communion. Why I don't know because it's at the heart of the gospel. At Living Word Church, communion has always been conducted biblically, involving a call to genuine believers to solemnly and soberly examine themselves in light of Christ's sacrificial death on their behalf.

One thing that I like about the church is that it has a missional focus, both locally and internationally. There are various ministries and projects that we support via a range of fund-raising activities, and regular reports of these gospel ventures are provided to the congregation. Watch out for the next Soup Sunday!

And finally, I have consistently experienced the culture of the Living Word Church to be friendly and down-to-earth. The congregation consists of people of various ages and backgrounds. There is always someone to chat to, and a wide variety of ministries to get involved with. I have always felt welcome at the church and I am looking forward to this Sunday.:)

I'd have to question the integrity of leadership, when the pastor has to make his own review to lift the star rating.

The pastor actually takes the time get to know you. I have found it be one of the rare churches that actually teaches the bible and not just presenting motivational messages. Montaz (the head pastor) even showed up one day at our door with a cooked dinner knowing we had just moved and didn't have the house setup.

The people at this church are really striving to love and serve Jesus and their neighbour. A focus on knowing God through His Word, and welcoming visitors and each other, gracious attitudes all around. A blessing to each other, to the community and hopefully, to you also!

A warm and loving church family where you can easily fit in and be challenged to grow! Strong emphasis on bible teaching and we also love the dedicated play space for toddlers during the service where we can still watch and hear the service:)
