I went in twice to see Pam after a significant traumatic incident. I came looking for professional insight and understanding. I feel that she did not understand my goals in coming to therapy. She offered judgment, solutions and advice that put me in situations I specifically asked not to be in for reasons that they were extremely stressful, triggering, and re-traumatising to me. She also did not seem to understand my situation and made condescending remarks towards me which I found to be extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. I came in a second time trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, but found the second time was much worse.

Since meeting with Pam, I have sought therapy elsewhere as Pam left me feeling incredibly invalidated, misheard, shamed, and gaslit. I strongly do not recommend her for anything serious, complex, or trauma/ptsd-related. I was already in a bad situation before I came to her, and she has made the situation exponentially worse.

Pam is one of the most beautiful people I know. She is a fabulous listener; she is compassionate and provides solutions to what seem insurmountable problems. Pam is an amazing counsellor. Not sure what I would have done without you in my life Pam Mitchell!
