Les Deux Coqs reviews
24Love this charcuterie and pastry shop in Adelaide Central Market. Stopped by for a coffee and was tempted to indulge in a slice of coconut flan as well. Never disappoints.
Best France pastry shop!
Highly recommend for their pear tart and chocolate lava cake!
Moderate sweetness and yummy!
Delicious, delicious sweets, so much to choose from and so much temptation. Love that it is at the Central Market, was able to buy fresh vegetables, salads and fruit and wines for friends over the long weekend and beautiful arrangements of flowers to complete my table.
Les Deux Coqs at the Adelaide Central Market offers an exquisite selection of French delicacies, and their French stick with pate duck and pork is no exception. I recently had the opportunity to try this delightful combination, and it left a lasting impression.
First and foremost, the French stick itself was a true masterpiece. Crispy on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the inside, it showcased the expertise and dedication to quality that Les Deux Coqs is known for. The bread was a wonderful accompaniment to the flavorful pate filling.
Speaking of the filling, the pate duck and pork were a match made in heaven. The rich and savory flavors of the duck blended seamlessly with the tender pork, creating a harmonious combination that delighted my taste buds. The pate had a smooth and creamy texture, which enhanced the overall experience.
We purchased 100 g of each pate, making it a satisfying meal or snack on its own.enjoyment.
The service at Les Deux Coqs was friendly and attentive, with the staff providing helpful recommendations and ensuring a pleasant experience. The atmosphere within the Adelaide Central Market added to the charm of the visit, creating an authentic French market ambiance.
Overall, I highly recommend trying the French stick with pate duck or pork at Les Deux Coqs. It's a delectable treat that showcases the culinary expertise and commitment to quality that this establishment embodies. Whether you're a fan of French cuisine or simply looking to explore new flavors, Les Deux Coqs is a must-visit destination at the Adelaide Central Market.
Absolutely delicious French cuisine! I certainly recommend their chocolate croissants which have become a favourite of mine. Cheap for the quality of the food too!
POD only coffee. They used long life milk to make the coffee. Avoid. Lots of real bean coffee and fresh milk in the other market cafes.
Amazing customer service (with Hernan) and th food is delicious. I ordered a pain au chocolat and a mini Galette des rois, the same taste than in France. Merci
Bravo for the Galette, not dry and we really feel the butter inside, I love it
Satisfied all my cravings for a good quality pate en croute! Exceptional terrines, saucisson and sweets. Love going to central market in the morning for a slice of terrine and coffee.
Utterly delicious sweets and pastries. I highly recommend their coffee eclairs! Strong coffee flavour balanced with slight sweetness, packaged in heavenly choux pastry.
I love coming here! The staff are lovely and the pastries and tarts are great, my new favourite is their tiramisu!
Service was fast and friendly. Coffee was good and the coffee eclair was really nice!
Located in the central markets.
Managed to score a table to sit at too which was a bonus as it can get quite busy here.
The tarts here are the best I've had in Adelaide. Every bite is heavenly worthy and they always sell out fast. Almond pear tart is my favourite. So crunchily baked.
Little France in the heart of the city! Can't leave the Central Market without stopping at Les Deux Coqs. Authentic French pastries at it's best! Literally takes me back to my trip to France everytime!
Delicious tarts, really enjoyed the Black Forest and strawberry. Will definitely be back for more
I love Les Deux Coqs for its variety of wonderful French foods; I bought a baguette (shared with family who agreed this one was tastier than one from another shop), and some prepared meat - also tasty, and the helpful staff told me where I could find some French cheeses. I will be back.
I think here produced the only Baguette can be classify as"french baguette" in Adelaide, as far as I am aware, especially the colour and texture. Thanks for bringing a taste of Paris to Adelaide!
Every bite takes me back to my childhood and holidays spent in France since moving to Australia. Pure joy and a true French experience.
You must indulge.
These guys were a pleasure to shop with, very helpful and friendly. Customer service is fantastic.
We discovered this little French shop tucked at the back of Adelaide’s central market only a month ago. So far we’ve tried their duck confit, some of the rillettes, the rabbit with nuts, most of the tarts, the croissant pudding and some of their imported French products. Everything we’ve had from here has been exceptionally delicious, and the staff is always consistently lovely to deal with. For me, coming here is always a pleasure.
Highly recommended! Their produces are amazing. The Charcuterie as well as the Patisserie are divine. Fresh produces, well presented, lovely staff happy to help and talk about the produces. Very good price for the quality and size of the produces. The taste reminds me my French background. Traditional and autentic French business in Adelaide that needs to succeed! Well done Team!
