Lawash Bakery

Ordered some food with a colleague of whom got his meal within five minutes. Waited 20 minutes for some chips and ended up walking out.

Was dining in and got the chicken curry.
Place was a little grubby and my food was stone cold.

The lady said that it probably wasn’t microwaved properly. They happily gave me a refund and I left and won’t return.

I’ve eaten here plenty of times but as soon as I heard that I’m out.

"Very smelly and dry biryani, salty in flavour. " Staff not friendly they talk very rudely.

Food was over cooked and so cold when we got it and we had to go ask for cutlery, service was horrible and the workers are so rude, do not go to this place.

Tonight we were extremely tired hence thought of having dinner at Lawash (man what was I thinking). After we placed the order for chicken kebab, chicken biryani and falafel. As every afghani restaurant we expected flawless service and flavoursome food- another big mistake! So no service I actually had to get up to get water and glasses - while staff was busy doing no service. While the chicken biryani tasted like poor quality yellow pulao, falafel tasted like zucchini fritters - the only saviour was chicken tikka! The bread was cold and salad was poor. I feel it’s a total waste of money. I would highly recommend missing this restaurant completely. And icing on the cake is their charge of. 50c for getting the food leftovers packed! If the food is that bad they should be grateful we are taking it with us not throwing it away.

Below average carefree service. Good food. Better off ordering online or not at all if you don’t wanna be disappointed by the front of house staff service.

Sadly this place has gone quite downhill. After a number of years coming here for good food, Somewhat recently it has really started to decline in quality and customer service (was always quite average).

Very dry Alfam chicken and the hommus was extremely bland and watery. Chips had melted the bag away from the excessive oil.

I wont be returning in the future unfortunately.

Excellent value for money.the mixed kebab plate was delish and the number 9 chicken was cooked to perfection.wouldn't mind a garlic or cheese naan option, but apart from that, can't fault this place at all.top stuff.

Definitely one of my favourite places to visit for dinner. The food is consistently good. I always buy bolani bread, manto or the kebabs with rice. Really good portions and nice atmosphere.

I ordered one dish for take out, I was told 5 minutes but then they took 25 minutes. Staff is not professional and the nans were lukewarm too. Wouldn't recommend it at all

Place is OK, but some of the staff members are not very welcoming towarda the customers. Need to have more cleanliness around the place as it does not seems to be very hygienic at times.

Lawash has been a regular haunt of mine for years, I'm a big fan of Afghan food and quite honestly this is the best I've had. I have had difficulties with service taking ages in the past however the last few times I have been its been very quick so even their one downside has been amended. 100% would recommend.

My family is a regular customer of Lawash restaurant n their biryani is my favourite but today wn my hubby brought biryani n kabab frm them the bryani was smelling yukkhyyy I can see at the bottom fresh rice n on top off rice.wn I called to complain they talked too rudely n asked me to bring the bryani back instead of replacing the order n delivering it as it wasn't my mistake to buy dirty smelly rice frm them they gave it to us so they shud have taken the responsibility but really really bad attitude n bad food

Went there about 9.40pm and the staff was very unwelcoming and was in a rush to cleanup and close for the day. Dont know if the owners know that they're doing this. They asked us to leave our table and move to a really small table saying they're closing that area off. Customer service wasn't the best, the rice wasn't the usual, the naan bread were rubbery and stale. I understand they might have been working all day but we are also paying for our food and expect something good in return. I've been there alot of times before but this was my last time.

Ordered a Lamb wrap to take away.

The quality of the meat was by far the best lamb I have had from any take away in 30 years. The flavour of the lamb lit up my entire mouth and that bread, so fresh, so bouncy, so flavourful. We are now a regular customer.

We were in Friday around 6.20pm and had to wait 20 mins for the one wrap. Hate to wait so long but as the food was so good, you can see why they are busy.

Went back again a week later and this time to avoid the wait, we phoned ahead. They said 15 mins, we pulled up 20 mins later and we had to wait a further 5 mins. Great food.just phone in advance by 30 mins.

Very very very bad food and service

I have ordered koffta karri with rice $15.
The send me koffta karri with bred $12
When called them and mentioned the mistake they ignored me and disconnect the call.
I also requested spoon. But the didn’t add and the food was cold.

I've been coming here for combination wraps for more than ten years, and I have never once been able to fault the service or food. Even the other customers always have smiles on their dials.
Plenty of dine in seating, desserts available, and take-away too. Don't let the on (back) street parking put you off.

Very good food. But frankly the kitchen area should be cleaner and overall smell should be better. Otherwise, i enjoy the food there.

Wonderful staff and reasonabl price with deliciously good quality food (this is for 2 years ago therefore the quality may or may not remain the same)

Went here for a little lunch break with my colleagues and they got the food out promptly, the food was priced well, and SUCH huge serves! The meat had that lovely charcoal flavour and the naan was ginormous.the wrap was a great lunch, but be prepared for the garlic hit for the rest of the day delicious!
