Lameroo Hotel Motel reviews
18I was there on Thursday evening it was very quiet the accommodation was clean but we found the beds uncomfortable
Just dropped in on my way to Adelaide with a mate to have a few a couple of beers.
Great atmosphere & great chatting to the locals
I would not recommend stopping here for the food. It is below average. We had the pizza, steak burger and chicken schnitzel. If you have to eat here, I suggest the burger only. The place felt weird. Nobody said hello and they all stopped talking when we entered. Nothing wrong with the place but unfortunately we didn’t feel the small country town friendliness here.
For $100 a night you get what you pay for. A compact, dated room. But it was clean and beds comfortable and the price was right. Strange lay out. Me & 3 kids so as the room is small & bathroom is about the same size as the room (weird) it was cramped. The motel cooked dinner. Basic pub grub which was fine. The photo is the one playground in town. Not a lot to do.
Amazing restaurant, got a kids playroom for parents and good food for all. Please do stop by. 1000% recommend
After a highway accident these guys went out of their way to give us accommodation at a minutes notice, literally, for 3 nights. Can't speak highly enough of the staff.
We stayed in the CABINS they are brand new and built this year. $135 for 2 people. They have a full size kitchen, living, meals area and two bed rooms. Shower was very hot and place was clean. Beds are comfortable. Absolute bargain price for great quality. Situated behind the pub it’s very quiet and convenient. 50m walk to pub for a great pub meal. Worth staying in Lamaroo for this accommodation if you are working in any towns around the area. Very pleased!
Ridiculous the young man that served us was so rude! Zero PR skills obnoxious, arrogant, not the norm for a country pub. Keep driving do not stop.
They are rude as and the owners disrespect the clientele. They refuse facilitys and took the toasters from our rooms without any reasons. Also when you order meals from them, they don't bring it to you or let you know it's ready. They put mine on the bar. And by time I realised it was cold. I do not recommend staying here at all.
Great food with excellent customer service. We ordered chicken schnitzel with gravy, chips and Salad. It was too yummy. Loved it
Got a chicken parmi from the hotel a few days ago and wanted to say that the food was great and the staff where friendly and the drinks where cold and nice along side a game of pool but the only thing i can say is a bread roll would have been nice but apart from that id say this place is a great pub to get a feed
Good food, pet friendly accommodation (we take our dogs with us to the shearing sheds during the day and keep them in the bathroom at night), rooms are good (note, walls are thin)
The hotel is always lovely and clean. The food was good. Was a shame that front of house staff lacked in enthusiasm of a warm welcome and conversation.
I decided to do a flash bike packing adventure, and rode in from Karoonda. I realised I was a little bit late, and rang to see if I could pre order something before their kitchen closed. Unfortunately, at that exact moment the phone dropped out!
Sue and the other staff kept reaching out, and an hour later when I finally had reception, they happily fixed me up with what was the best schnitzel I've had.
Highly recommend staying with them, while the motel area might be basic its extremely good for touring cyclists, with very considerate staff.
Community owned hotel/motel. Food is excellent and the service is friendly. Stayed during shut down so was great to be able to get a decent meal. Rooms are very clean, comfy beds. Big shower and toilet area but the rooms are a bit small. See new rooms being built would cater well for a longer term.stay.
Passing through town so stopped into the Lamaroo Hotel bistro.on Boxing day, with the whole family.
Service was absolutely first rate, bathrooms were spotless (very important for wife and kids!) and food was cheap but still top quality.
Fantastic experience highly recommended!
Listen people the meals are as good as they can be anywhere. These meals ate better than any fancy in town chief's special. Mixed grill only twenty eight dollars or so. Top pub this one
