Lambert Estate Wines reviews
41 We don't drink so were only visiting for the food and scenery, but we weren't disappointed. The bread and pizza and sous vide chicken thigh with crispy skin were all delicious - perhaps my favourite meal during our trip to Adelaide.
I recommend booking - we were fortunate to get the last table for lunch having called only a few minutes in advance.
Wow wow wow, what a wonderful stop, Gavyn our host just made our lunch magic, his humor, his knowledge added to our experience. The wines are Devine second to none we may have walked away with 6-7 and know we will be back.
Thank you, Quality & Care.
The lunch was indeed first class. Delightful staff and excellent service. I highly recommend!
We came for dinner at the monthly fire side Friday that lamberts hold. It was great our waitress Mikaylah was bubbly and very hospitable and informative about the wine i ordered. The pizza was fantastic and our entree was great too. Definitely will be coming back. Cheers
Stoped in here for some lunch and wine tasting. The food was stunning. Service was great. Unpretentious and welcoming. The young lady that hosted us was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
Best 2 course lunch at Lambert estate for a wine tour with Sealink's Barossa valley wine and food tour. Didn't get to see Maggie Beer's Food Shop. Great tour bus commentary from Mark. Had immense knowledge regarding indigenous people, flora and fauna and overall history.
We’ve dined at lambert for lunch a couple of times and the food is always incredible! Nothing disappoints. The Peruvian influence on the dishes is well placed and there’s nothing on the menu you won’t enjoy for a fine lunch on a weekend in the Barossa. Their wines are also incredible too!
We had Gavin service us on our tasting experience. He was polite, professional and had a lovely story behind each wine we tasted. Their selection was alot and all very nice. We highly recommend and we will be back!
On bus trip which stopped here for lunch and wine tasting.
Great food, very nice variety of wines and an excellent host.
Definately worth a visit.
Have just had a lunch experience here today. We ordered two platters between four people and we’re left underwhelmed and hungry. The largest platter was $50 but there was hardly any meat or cheese. Possibly a platter for one person. We then ordered a gluten free pizza as one of us is gluten intolerant plus extra bread. The staff member who served us warned us that the gluten free pizza wasn’t that nice compared to normal pizza and he was right! It was sparsely covered with cheese and tomato and the base was soft soft like pancake mix! The wines were acceptable as was the coffee. Given we spent $186 between four of us, we were not impressed. We have travelled to many wine regions in Australia and NZ and these platters were not comparable to others that had more variety and were more generous.
Most delicious shiraz ever - and the new grape-based spirit drink (now what was its name, can't recall) - WOW! Warm, potent and delightfully sweet (but not too much). ~ Again, the shiraz - really is deliciously drinkable - well done to the winemakers.
Large but well presented venue. Atmosphere is not as relaxed as other smaller venues but amenities are excellent. Meal was delicious. Waitress was very nice. Loved the indigenous artworks on the walls!
Beautiful winery, lovely people, amazing food and AMAZING wine selections! You must try the Sweet Jane Riesling and the Chocolate Port Highly Recommend!
This was our first visit - we both had the chick with three sides - and the donuts - the surroundings are nice - the restaurant is clean - the staff friendly and efficient - the meal was stunning - the taste buds were on a merry dance - highly recommended - we will be back - thanks for a lovely day out in the Barossa -
A hidden gem.
Fantastic food. Great wine at great prices. We’ve had many a great experience over the years and a trip to the Barossa is never complete without dropping in. Have a bottle of the Chocolatier on my cabinet at all times!
This place came as a recommendation. It ended up as one of those never going back again places. The staff were so rude and said because your not the fuction we dont care about you, I said we booked ahead so you knew we were coming, and she put on an attitude and stormed off, never seen anything like that before in my life! That waitress then ignored us for the rest of the sitting! Absolutely disgraceful! To finish, the food took well over an hour to come out and was pretty average. Pretty sad for our final lunch in the Barossa.
The views were stunning. I would suggest a wine taste and leave. I wouldnt stay any longer than you need to.
What a great experience. We had a blast and sampled some very nice wine. The Shiraz's were exceptional as was the Rosé and the Riesling
Visited here for first time for a friends birthday occasion just for lunch and it was a delightful experience. The food we couldn’t fault, fair portion sizes where we both felt full but not to excess. Service was attentive and we had pleasant girl named Casey. It’s a great place to have a weekend lunch treat for yourself and beautiful view of the vine yards you overlook. Beautiful wine highly recommend the silent partner 2014, smooth as red and also highly recommend the donuts
Not a good experience, our worst place in our Barossa trips. Impersonal and industrial atmosphere with no consistent theme or design, the tasting was disjointed and we had three different staff ask us where we were up to on tastings, and then ignored us. The tasting seating was difficult to get in to and the wine was over priced. Strange decor and aloof atmosphere with no warmth or care.
We won't return here, and will actively recommend others to not go either.
We have been to 80+ wineries in Barossa and McLaren Vale, and this is the worst place we have been.
Love the pizza.we made our own wine.everything was beautiful. We got to meet the owners we came as a group from TJG. (Zamels)
we will be back for more wine and food.
