Lakeside Cafe reviews
57 Food: ordered ceaser salad was absolutely disgusting boiled bland chicken
Croutons where just full of oil that tasted stail and bitter not even crunchy
Salad leaves were nice and fresh thought
Sauce was bitter not sure if it’s from croutons
Service: where quite nice bloke at the counter was nice and friendly
Atmosphere: was nice out side it’s nice next to the lake inside was clean
Great food and very friendly staff. The cafe overlooks a beautiful lake so it is very nice to sit outside. There are all day breakfast foods and great pizzas. They also have a kids menu and a few toys for kids to play with.
I went with my husband and a couple of friends for a breakfast. My husband got a waffle burger and he liked it, I got a banana bread that was really dry.
We liked the environment.
An amazing place for breakfast with amazing food full of flavours in every dish! The staff is sooo wonderful and friendly and a fast service and the chef is the best!
I'm so glad that you took my advice and added music to cheer up your cosy place and turned the TV on, but add subtitles which is better than volume and music together.
I loved it and will return as I loved those eclairs.cakes.cannoli!
Forgot to take the photo of the eclair!
Friendly service. Reasonable prices. Good food - I enjoyed my meal. Nice environment - looks out over a small man-made lake. Worth a visit if you're in the area.
The food was delicious and staff are very friendly. In particular the young girl Jacinta who served us and brought our food out was so lovely! I will definitely be returning!
Excellent pizza. Staff were fantastic. It was my birthday and I chose to eat at your Cafe. I travelled with my family from Warradale to eat at your Cafe. Thank you.
Local owner and student staff, reasonably priced, good range of food and beverages. Friendly, clean, very busy at times.
The Caesar salad was not very good. Very oily / greasy. I offered feedback and it was not taken with appreciation. Will not be going again.
Not recommended if you value customer service or food quality.
Very average service, coffee etc. Nice setting. I've heard the food isn't great so I've not tried it.
Friendly staff who happily assisted with my enquiry about breakfast menu times (to which they said you can order from the breakfast menu at any time of day).
Dined on a moderately busy Tuesday afternoon. Drinks came quickly and food soon followed.
The mixed berry smoothie is nice and even creamy. The chicken caesar sandwich was perfectly toasted with thick, golden wholemeal bread, and all the flavours were lovely.
Stayed after dining for a little while to admire the view. Despite the clouds you could still appreciate the beauty of the nearby lake and accompanying wildlife.
Overall great experience, would definitely come back.
Nice quiet area with parkside setting. The coffee was great as was the Mediterranean lamb salad.
A lovely breakfast with girlfriends. All the food was brought out and nearly finished and then the drinks came. Must have been a busy coffee day. Worth the wait.
Very average service, coffee etc. Nice setting. I've heard the food isn't great so I've not tried it.
Friendly staff, quick service, reasonable price. But is quite noisy on weekends, making it difficult to order
Reasonable prices for the breakkie which is not excessively big, which is the way I prefer. I also like attentive services but didn't quite enjoy the rather noisy environment. Screaming kids and barking dogs, but then what else can you expect in a neighbourhood full of younger families.
Also, the flies need a bigger zapper to be sorted. Please, do go easy on the hollandaise sauce. Don't want to choke up my arteries too early.
This Cafe is sitting on a Gold mine as the location is great with not much competition near by. I popped in today to buy a snake & drink. Sadly, 1 of the Amarato had mould on it. Thankfully I saw this prior to eating it.
The staff is friendly but service is slow.
Usually good food and atmosphere but thus time not my son had the surf and turf he read what was in it and ordered it. He then got a reaction as he is alergic to nuts only a mild one but it could have been deadly. We racked our brains on what it could have been, we asked the waitress who asked the chef and found out the meal had pesto in it, which was not mentioned in the menu otherwise my don wouldnt have ordered as he knows he cant have pesto. We did get a full refund and luckily it wasnt serious but next time it might be someone who had a worse reaction, hooefully they changed it or added to the ingrediants. Lovely place but hesitant about going again
Great location. Was a nice place to go but now feel it a bit run down. Decor almost unacceptable.
Beautiful scenery by a lake with birds, and people walking their dogs or children. Cafe food prices are standard, was disappointed with the Mediterranean lamb salad that came with very little lamb, alot of mayo and baby spinach. Not worth $18, better off buying a yiros elsewhere.
Chicken parmi and cheese cake were decent serves. Can't say I will be having a salad from here again.
