Lai Wong Gourmet Take Away

Totally blown away by the food here, and its a really good price too. There was a bit of wait time but that's because everyone knows it's one of the best eateries around.
I recommend calling ahead.

First time here. They forgot to put my main meal in the bag, didn't realise until I got home 15 mins away. Rang the store and they had forgotten to even cook it, even after they had repeated my order to me when I picked it up. Asked over the phone for a refund and was told yes, different story when I got there, was told they couldn't issue me a refund but were happy to give me 3 free spring rolls. At this stage being desperate to eat dinner I couldn't be bothered arguing and just wanted to get home. Not happy with this unpleasant experience but at least on a side note the food was good.

In my quest to find the best take away hot chips, we decided to try Lai Wong. The chips were cooked well, but needed to be a little crisper, the flavour was very good, with a good amount of chicken salt, the serve size for a large was ok. Overall 4 stars.
We also had a few Chinese dishes, which were very nice and flavourful, although the sauce for the lemon chicken was more like a jelly.

Love the Chinese dishes - Mixed vegetables with Cashews. Housemate has tried most of the Chicken dishes such as Honey Soy, Lemon and Chili. All meals bought have been fresh and taste great with lovely service always.

An over 2 hr wait for our food and the food itself below average. For my first time trying this place i can say i wont be going back.

Great Chinese loved it fish n chips great price for family of 4 and was best I’ve had in years staff friendly

The posted business hours mean nothing they open or stay closed whenever. Food is about as hit and miss as their business hours

Litterely the worst plum pork & salt & pepper squid I've ever eaten.

Would not recommend those items from the menu.
Pad Thai is nice tho.

All I can say is Yum!
Lovely staff, very generous portions. Our favorites are Satay Chicken Four Treasure Duck & the Special Fried Rice. Also the Laksa's are Devine. Once you've tried there food you'll be hooked!

I highly recommend the special fried rice of course and the sweet and sour pork is just the bomb.

The specials are cheap and cheerful but tasty as. Wait times are perfectly fine and management is always friendly and welcoming. Good value, it's not gourmet but it's yummy nonetheless and serving sizes are extremely generous. Their unique fried dim sims are interesting and a very filling kooky little snack. Give them a try:)

As good a Chinese as you can get. Love this place. Food is amazing, and prices are very reasonable. Honestly can’t understand anyone having a negative comment.

Although service was quick, the quality of the food was poor. This was our first time using Laid Wong. We will not be using them again.

Have had bad food from here on more than one occasion though standards have increased lately. I recommend you check the tomato sauce before using. Its usually old and white on top.

Absolutely disgraceful service from the older lady. Time and time again she gets orders wrong and refuses to change them over or redo them
I will never go back there again and I urge everyone to stay away

Have had bad experiences here on too many occasions. Though has improved of late. This evening, Beef with Cashew has no cashew nuts in it and upon my partner politely calling to enquire he was rudely hung up upon, I called back quite angry and was told next time they will put extra! Not good enough, the main ingredient is missing!

Good Chinese and Thai menu and the fish and chips are very good too. Inexpensive and now takes EFTPOS

Honestly for asian takeaway it hits the spot.not a whirlwind flavour experience but a solid feed for a solid price

Pretty decent fish and chips, service was quick and friendly. Interior needs a bit of an update.

Ask for vegan you get delicious vegan, lovely folks.if you complain about the service perhaps it's more about you than the staff?
