Lady Ruthven Reserve reviews
20Nice scenery and good for a walk but lacking in facilities such as toilets making it unsuitable for a long visit or picnic
Good for fishing, rock hopping, bike riding. Has very small playground, a couple of undercover seating and tables, BBQ and seats in the sun to watch for dolphins. No toilets but plenty of tall bushes to go behind if you don't want to travel to the North Haven shopping centre to use their toilets.
Nice spot to sit back, relax and watch the boats roll on in. Simple kids park and BBQ facilities as well.
Best spot for sunsets and cruise liner spotting. The sunsets are still there.
Edit: Stopped this afternoon to check if there are any dolphins. The dolphins had a better offer and my sunset photos got blurry. The breakwater has been there for long enough to show interesting weathering patterns. The metal oxide dendrites are 5cm each, just by the handrail. Sandstone shows honeycombing.
Great place to sit back
and relax and hopefully spot a dolphin. Plenty of seats to watch a great sunset. BBQ, playground no toilet.
Such a great place to relax and walking along the beach and the rocks. Picnic and barbecue area really good. Also the fishing areas is a plus. The only draw back is tge the toilet. No toilet around the reserve. The carpark as well gets crowded when it gets busy on the peak times.
Great area to go and view the big boats coming in and to catch a great sunset also. Good viewing platforms with a nice grassed area also.
Lovely open space, with bbq facilities, and playground perfect place to throw a line and have a barbie with the family
Tranquillity can be found here.
Hard to believe how peaceful it can be.dockside in a City Harbour. In saying that there are a few benches at waters edge allowing you to chill and soak up the atmosphere

Beautiful place. My wife and I are going to walk the metro coast. We've started at Outer Harbour. This park is a great way to start.
Good for family picnic.
Fishing
Public BBQ
Playground
See the bigger container ship.
Once again there is an area for fishing and we as Fishcare Volunteers visit to speak to the Fishing people. One thing wrong there are no Toilets which is a damn shame
Great area. Watch ships coming and going. Viewing/fishing platforms. There is a bbq and table area. Follow the path down to beach for a walk or a dip. Downside is no public bathrooms available.
A lovely park. It's just at Port Adelaide. This is a good place for leisure, entertainment, walking, jogging, cycling, fishing and watching dolphins, sunset, and all kinds of boats. The parking lot is near the roundabout.
A beautiful walk in the fresh air. The council keeps the reserve in good condition. Just wish all dog owners would pick up their dogs poo.
Great viewing point for ships both cruise and cargo. Picnic area with barbecue (but no toilets) Bitumen walking path all the way around to North Haven Surf Life Saving Club (where there are toilets)
Wow the peace! Quiet and unsung spot at least when the ships aren't at berth. Want some alone time or throw a rid in recommended
One of the best spots in North Haven. Small park, good fishing and viewing of dolphins as well as watching the boats going in and out of the harbor.
Love it here. I just sit with a fishing rod. Don't care if I catch anything, just watch the ships and talk to the birds.
