KX Pilates Unley reviews
8 This is the best Pilates studio in town! The instructors are so engaging and friendly. You feel like a part of the family!
Studio is always clean and tidy. I’ve been going to Unley for a few years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I have been at KX Unley for several years. All of the instructors are excellent and take a lot of time to chat to you, correct incorrect technique and make you feel welcome. The studios are always immaculate and clean and I enjoy my time at classes. The owner is very approachable and values her clients.
Zoe and Tori are the best, they deliver an amazing full body workout that is better than any other exercise regime. They keep you so engaged and working so hard. I always feel so good about the time I put aside for the kx studio. Sore for days and the highlight of my day!
Not Pilates
Cons: little technique
- machines loaded too heavy
- staff have low training (or cannot use it due to class style)
- not suited to someone with injuries
- mixing too much weight and speed into Pilates really takes away the aim
Pros: lots of classes
- not too expensive
I have done Pilates at plenty of places around the world if your after doing Pilates and learning good techniques from trained staff kx is not for you. What they do is more like a gym class think a spin class with little or no correction to technique more focused on speed. This would really only suit some young, no injuries etc who wants maximum intensity cardio style workouts. Fundamentally I think the largest problem is mixing the speed and heavy weights and little instructions with Pilates really takes away the core of what you’re trying to learn. Control, flexibility and improvement in movements.
Both the studios are great. There are so many classes on the timetable and instructors here are very nice and friendly.
Started classes at KX for the first time a few months ago and it's great fun. Definitely challenging but loving it so much.
Great studio excellent team adopting exercises to suit specific needs where appropriate and they don't let you get away with anything
