Convenient sport, but quite a busy place. The line went up around the shop the day I went. Given the size of the bakery and busyness we had to rush to pick something quickly from the variety of stuff they had as you had this vibe you are holding up the line and it’s a crime. Food was very nice service has lot of space to improve. One pastry had a piece of hair, but they replaced with a new one. Car park at the back is handy.

This bakery is without a doubt one of the very best places to visit when passing through Port Wakefield

I have been going here for ages as the pies etc are yum, but unfortunately the last few times I've been here the food was only just warm. Nothing more disappointing than looking forward to a nice pasty and it's cold.

Lovely food, open friendly staff. Nice little bakery. An enjoyable break away from the highway.
Glad to see the Kipling name keep their long tradition of providing roadside hospitality.

Great selection, friendly staff and reasonably priced. I would recommend if you're travelling in the area to stop in. You can always tell a good bakery by the amount of people going there and this place was busy.

Stopped today on the way home and got a bacon and the food was great as well as the hot chocolate.
The staff were lovely and said that they liked my captain America socks and we all had a laugh and a quick chat about them.
Would highly recommend stopping by for some great food and service.

Kipling's Bakery at Pt Wakefield is known far and wide for it's good old country service and scrumptious food. There's a great range of pies - satay to chicken to beef and mushroom etc and 4 or 5 patties to choose from. Expect to find jam berliners, custard donuts, vanilla slices, rock buns and fruit buns. The coffee is always rich and smooth too Today I went with a healthier choice of cheese n salad sandwich. You can have toasties and fresh knot rolls with poppy or sesame seeds. Kipling's staff are always cheerful and remember what frequent travelers like to order. The only annoying thing can be those pesky flies inside and out!

Today while driving past my boyfriend and I stopped by to get some lunch. I got a cheese salad sandwich and custard tart, and he got a veggie pastie and kitchener. The sandwich was tasty and definitely satisfied my hunger. The custard tart was good, but not spectacular. My boyfriend thought the pastie was really good, and the kitchener was delicious! He also got a long black and said the coffee was nice. The prices were reasonable for what you get. The ladies working werent overly friendly but I assume they were stressed because it was lunchtime and pretty busy!

We would stop here again if we were passing through, I definitely recommend.

This place seems to have an almost legendary reputation and while better than average it's certainly overhyped. Their products are very fresh and we'll made, tasty and reasonably priced but not original or outstanding in any way. This is by far the only decent place to get good grub in Port Wakefield but its reputation is enhanced by almost non existent competition.

Worth stopping when passing by.

Pastries are freshly hot and their coffee is smooth and stronger than average. Thumbs up from me!
