Kintaro Sushi

Beware their online ordering for pickup on their own website. For example, Katsu Chicken Udon $15.50 in store, $18.50 online.

This place used to be great, but now a shell of what it was. Takes so long to get food even with few people in restaurant. They can’t seem to get orders right. I suspect they are trying to substitute cheaper items. Order the tuna salad roll with roe and get something different.

Not impressed finding a rubber band in my mouth after having the takoyaki. Informed the staff about the foreign object in their food for which they did apologise but still charged for that plate.

This was dissapointing as I usually come by semi regularly as they do ok sushi otherwise.

Turned up at 8.20 with our kids and got turned away and they didn't have any food on the train and not cooking. Still other customers in there and says they close at 9, pretty poor service and we were very unhappy

Just done dinning at Kintaro. Food was good. Sushi chef was friendly unfortunately the service staff (female staff) was utterly rude and disrespectful.

Everything was perfect. Food was great and friendly staff. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

They add a surcharge when paying via credit card! I know they say under $10 purchase this shall happen, but even over $10 they put an extra charge on your purchase. Next time check your account and notice that 'SA Resources PTY LTD' bump up the purchase without your approval or notification from the store!

Technically this business is stealing from its customers!

Quick delicious and not too pricey. Customer service in the store is good too. Not really an authentic sushi (chefs are not Japanese) but fits most Australians taste. Would recommend kintaro over sushi train. Overall, 5 stars.

Asked for fresh food because some dishes were cold. They brought me cold fried squid. I sent it back and they microwaved it. After raising the prices, reducing the quantity of food on the plates AND swapping the high cost colour plates with the low cost to confuse you, I'll never come back. You can't trust this attitude

No alcohol at this one. That was a bit of a bummer. And they charge extra to use eftpos which I think is a bit cheeky.

Allergic to Shellfish and feel safe eating here. Most Sushi-train-like places cross contaminate and i get sick from vegetarian and desserts too. This place is always fresh, and attentive service. Wish there was Mochi too.

Great food although the wait time for delivery is double what was expected. I even paid for faster delivered through uber eats, and the food was still being prepared 30-40 mins later!? I only ordered one dish as well.

I love this sushi chain, it’s fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. I usually order off the menu and ask them to prepare it fresh as I am happy to wait. Love the teriyaki chicken and rice bowl and a plate of spicy karage chicken with kewpie. From sushi menu, I like cheesy chicken, salmon nigiri and salmon volcano ship. I’d recommend dining here.

I love Kintaro. The food is always amazing and very fresh, and the sizes are generous. They're usually very busy around lunch time, so best to get in early or get it to take away.

I’ve been here for few times and just can’t really accept how rude the staff treat me. Even the food is very nice but the service quality is poor.
My friends and I got treated very badly with one of the staff and how she speak with the customer is just very rude. It might be help for the manager or owner to evaluate how each staff gave their services to customer.

I have been here a few times but this is the Kintaro that restored my faith in Kintaro. Really good fresh selection, even at the odd hours of the day. The only thing I’d change is the chopsticks bc they’re reusable and difficult to use lol I’m dumb

The sushi are freshly made but compare to the one in the city on Henley Street, not many varieties.

Was delicious as usual, however don't order the agedashi tofu to take away because it goes soggy. You would have to ask them to pack it seperately.

The food is fresh and tastes amazing. The service is professional and authentic, I love the atmosphere and the service. This place made me fall in love with sushi

Nice sushi and friendly service. The City Kintaro however has a larger range of food off the belt and the soup also tastes different from usual, still decent prices and I didn't need to wait at all, so overall was pretty enjoyable
