Stayed in a powered site with our caravan. Sites are a good size. Short walk to beach and short drive to town centre/jetty. Amenities are basic but have been refreshed with coat of paint and are very clean with good showers.
Great communal camp kitchen with BBQ x 2, lots of seating and combustion heater. Would stay again.

Great hosts, caravan close to everything, park very tired and certainly could do with a mow and clean up, great hot water, but the showers need refitting and especially the shower heads.

Very average Park, facilities and location.
The manager was very rude to say the least.
Will never stay there again.

I would suggest viewing the cabins prior to booking, I was not impressed. The park is located in a great spot and the camping ground looks alright.

Fantastic about letting us change dates due to Covid restrictions. Disappointing about not letting kids play cricket in the park. And the way Helen spoke to her cleaners was disgraceful. Those cleaners do an amazing job of keeping rundown facilities spotlessly clean.

We stayed here 3 nights in our camper. Check in was easy and cheerful, the park is quiet and peaceful, the bathroom facilities could do with an update however they are clean and the water pressure and temperature is divine. There’s also free wifi and lovely big lounge/ kitchen area to relax in.
We enjoyed our stay here.

Hired an unpowered site for a few nights. Park has clean amenities, well equipped outdoor kitchen, with hot water and nice hot showers. 1 minute stroll to the beach. 5 minute drive to the local town centre and shops. Friendly and helpful staff and management. Definitely recommend a stay.

Best and largest kitchen and dining area ever see in camp grounds in Australia. Nice fully equipped and super clean.

We stayed in one of the family cabins for a few nights, the cabin was quite basic, but had ample cooking facilities, utensil, cutlery and crockery. We saw a mouse run through the cabin, the hot water was temperamental, early neighbourhood rooster, and furniture quite cheap and worn out. If you're looking for a simple place then it will serve your purpose, but don't expect anything fancy.

Got Covid so our Easter plans were cancelled, so I can't comment on the place itself, but Con helped us transfer the booking to another family and also helped with ferry changes. His service was excellent and worthy of 5 stars.

Convenient to town, beaches and other Island attractions. Unfortunately, our cabin didn't live up to the promotional photos. The main bedroom, you had to turn sideways between bed and wall to get into bed. Kitchen area, the lounge was very old, stained and had collapsed springs in middle, which made it uncomfortable to sit on. The remedy to this was that they put a throw over it. The oven,? Was a bench grill/warmer which wouldn't even take a small pizza and the 2 hot plates didn't work. The TV worked spasmodically.
Regardless, we enjoyed our stay on the island.

Our site was incredibly tight to get into, took a lot of maneuvering. Toilets were quite dirty.
There were a number of people smoking around the cooking area. We left and went somewhere else. The owners were nice tho.

Thank you Helen for making our stay so wonderful. From accommodating us changing our travel dates short notice then making sure we still had the perfect site for our set up and making sure our children had plenty of shade. Her knowledge of the Island made sure we didn't miss anything with the time we had.
We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Kingscote caravan park, great service and location.

Lovely manager/owner - very friendly. Spacious beautiful kitchen. Enjoyed the peace there. Only hope they'll install water in the kitchen soon. Otherwise, perfect.

The park was quite old, and the office smelt of smoke, the fly screens fell of anytime we opened the windows, and the public bathrooms where graffitied and there where loads of fly's making it feel grouse.
I would not recommend this park for anyone, as we had a bad stay.

So glad we stayed here and made it our base for our KI trip. Con and Helen are super friendly, Helen never steered us wrong with her advice! Clean facilities. While a little dated and small, the cabins are comfortable to sleep in, and have heating/aircon. The park is close to all the things, Drakes, Chemist, Bakery, Hardware store. Each day was an adventure out on the island, most things were no further than an hours drive, the park only has a small basic playground but our kids were happy to make their own fun exploring the beach and riding their bikes!

We stayed here for 8 nights over the new year period. We booked last minute before Christmas and Lynn at reception went out of her way to accommodate us and our dog. She was very helpful to arrange our booking and ferry. It is located right next to the beach where we could take our dog for a walk every day, and is only a short drive to Kingscote town. The campsite had everything we needed (including power, laundry, washing, warm showers and cooking facilities). We found the place to be very family friendly and everyone there went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We can’t wait to return again soon. Thanks for having us! We only wish we could have stayed longer.
