26Camped overnight with a buddy beginning of Nov '23. Super friendly staff, very clean and nicely done up amenities, perfect location, shady trees, rope fence to keep local's horses out that like to steal things from the camp geound.did I mention super friendly staff? Always the #1 drawcard
Hubby & I had a wonderful relaxed stop over. Leesa's bubbly warm welcome fitted with the comfortable clean home feeling of our room.rooms bathroom amenities as well as the camp kitchen/laundry old school comfort & charm with lots of thoughtful extra little touches luxury on the dusty dirt road.wishing Leesa & her partner all the best with the school cafe Viv & Ray
Had a lovely nights stay. Nice comfy bed. Great meal and company at the hotel.
Katrina? Who helps Leesa was super friendly.
Wishing Leesa all the best.
That place is going to be even better once they turn the old school into a Cafe. Great coffee Katrina!
Ineke and Jeff.
This is a hidden Gem! Leesa is wonderful. Friendly service and very accommodating.
The pub is next door and serves great food!
This place is a credit to leesa and her partner.
They are currently working on projects to enhance this little gem.
The school room is insane it has original chalk board drawings from maybe the 1950's.
Please visit! The horses come to visit!
Great little spot in the middle of nowhere, only camped overnight, amenities and service top notch
After a long day trip with no aircon in the car and through a rough road, the warm welcome and the cleanliness of the facilities were a great experience!
Exactly what was needed after a long drive. Everything is well maintained and camp kitchen has everything you need. Leesa is an amazing host.
Absolutely recommend staying here! Oasis in the outback. Lisa is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. The rooms are simple but have everything you need for a comfy stay.
If your caravan has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a theatre room, a satellite dish, and a butler's pantry then a stay at Kingoonya may not be for you. If you like adventure travel and visiting quirky, out of the way places then spend some time at Kingoonya. The park is very well cared for and much loved. Leesa and her helpers are doing a brilliant job of developing the caravan park and other tourist amenities. Go and meet the locals - they are 'salt of the earth' Aussies and are very welcoming. Have a beer, and a meal, at the pub. Enjoy the atmosphere around the fire pit and a yarn with the locals and travellers. Kingoonya is an experience. We live 2,100 km away, and we'll be back for sure.
What a beautiful spot. So welcoming and friendly. The toilets and showers are spotless. We really enjoyed our stay here. We will be back!
Leesa was a lovely host and the place has good hot showers for the caravan park and little cabins. Had a great relaxing stay in Kingoonya.
Great place to stay. Powered and unpowered sites and cabins for those who want a bit of luxury. There is a family cabin available where the 2 cabins have an inter leading door.
Great little place, cheap, has toilets and clean showers, right next to the most important building in any town - the Pub!
Great spot to stop and well worth the little detour. Clean amenities and super friendly staff at the park and pub. Highly recommend!
A great little stop over when driving the back road - Gawler Ranges Road. The amenities were spotless and the wandering horses were a lovely bonus for the kids to see. We really appreciated Leesa opening the park for us to stay - it was closed so she could rest between chemo sessions! If you read this Leesa, you are a brave woman and I hope you had no trouble climbing the town water tank to check the water level! Talk about tough Aussies!
Thanks again Lisa.twice I've stayed and both times i have enjoyed the time there and I'll definitely be back
Great little park. Owners have thought of everything. Really well stocked kitchen. Great ablution block. Pub, meals and even fuel. Really good place to stop. Horses roaming around. Trains going past too. Even a Free camping area with a water station and book swap. Road in from Coober was great.
Great outback caravan park.
Clean & well provided facilities.
Friendly, welcoming owners.
Great place to hang out, very quiet, good facilities. If you want somewhere to stay between Coober Pedy and Pt Augusta, ideal spot. Experience the outback.
Loved this place! Really friendly staff (and locals), excellent bathroom and kitchen facilities, nice camping area, great for sunrise/set viewing. Definitely would recommend.
