Kingdom Chinese Restaurant 東海海鮮酒家 reviews
41Nice food tasty.nice peking duck and duck fried rice.however, too long time to get order delivered plus running cold aircon in winter with cold wind blowing your legs, too cold.do not match with food.
SO Disappointed! Hubby & I went in for lunch today. They sat us at a table for 6 right by the kitchen entrance.plenty of vacant tables for 2 or 4 so no idea why they sat us on a huge table for 6.
Took ages for anyone to come & take our order.
When our food did arrive the waitress kept placing it on the furthest side to where we were sitting so I had to reach right across the table to get my food.
My fried dumplings were delicious but the spring onion pancake & wonton noodle soup were bland & tasteless. With so much variety in China Town we won’t be back.
Some of the best, 'no frills' Chinese food in Adelaide. Friendly hosts and extensive menu. Food was delicious. Only downside is most of the menu is a bit on the pricey side and corkage was a little steep at $15 per bottle. XO Crocodile is a must try!
Love the place the staff & food is fantastic. Every time I go there it has never failed me
Looking forward to go back there with family as well showing friends as well.
I didn't believe that 2 of us ate all that food because it was great.
Came here on a weekend - the place is full but the food and service is top-notch. Definitely our favorite Chinese restaurant in Adelaide!
Absolutely disappointing. I booked 2 tables for family dinner. They changed the 2 dishes without noticed. Absolutely ripped off, food nothing worth for $450 / table plus drinks.
Our first visit since they moved from Gouger Street back in January. We walked in for Sunday lunch without a booking and they were packed! They were able to fit us in without any fuss. Food and service top notch, and serves very generous. Extensive menu. We will return very soon, has to be one of the best places in the precinct!
Brilliant! Went with friends who know how to order. We had a great banquet. Wonderful softshell crabs, mussels, duck and many others. Oh, I loved the green beans.
Service was great and unobtrusive.
Certainly will come again!
The pregnant lady at the counter was arrogant and unfriendly.
I ordered and paid for roast duck and pork today. I was asked to wait for 10 minutes and ended up waiting for 30 minutes. Whilst I waited, she served many Mandarin speaking customers. Then after my long wait, I was told they had run out of pork (after serving it to all the Chinese customers). Clearly there is bias here (and I'm Asian too btw).
Got a refund and left.
Your service and behaviour today has lost me as customer.
A great range of seafood. I am always satisfied with their food experience. However their restaurant was very crowded. I understand this is a popular restaurant. However I don’t feel that’s COVID safe.
Yummy Yum Cha.
Tasty food, affordable prices, excellent service. This place has no issues. Try it.
Very bad service, booked and showed up on time, they took 15 minutes to get us table, which was located next to dish rack at the counter.
I would like to defend them as they were busy, but you should not allow bookings if your not going to reserve tables.
High covid risk, the tables are tightly packed together, flavour is poor to nothing and expensive, not worth the risk.
Worse service ever, especially from the owner! Coming for yumcha and asked for sauce and being yelled at because of a request for sauce. Was told that we'll be charged for it because they could not cater for people who eats a lot of sauce.
Went with the family for yum cha today for a third and final go.
Service is fairly average but some of the food could not be eaten and to top it off the for if us are home sick tonight.
Not sure if it was the old oil, msg or cleanliness but not a great experience.
It's one of my favourite chinese restaurant for years and still going there. The service is good and staff are very friendly. Lately ive experienced some problems with the way they expect the customer to tract the food theyve ordered. They pre circled the bill before the food is served. Traditionally they would circle the bill as the food is being served on the table.
Now days if they forget to bring the food out it is your word against theirs because they've already circled the bill. I sat down and while having my meal i overheard many complaints between the staff and customers about food that they haven't received.
Live seafood means fresh seafood. Authentic southern chinese dishes. Friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently located near Victoria Square.
Seems like the only good dish here is the fresh seafood e.g Lobster and crab dishes.
The lobster and crab is perfectly cooked and well seasoned. We got the salt & pepper for crab and ginger sauce for lobster noodles as allergic to peanuts and they put peanuts in the XO sauce.
We ordered salted fish fried rice but it’s lacking the Unami and salted fish flavour.
We ordered salt & pepper squid but they forgot to make it.it was one of the first dishes we ordered and we ordered more dishes after the first few dishes came out and those one came out before the squid. We wanted the one with the tentacles. Feel as if the menu wasn’t clear that when you order the ‘salt & pepper squid’ you have to say tentacles. They won’t ask.
Overall the food here is average and not worth the expensive price mark unless you’re ordering crab or lobster. I only recommend those dishes here.
The waitresses here are friendly and nice.
The toilets are atrocious. Looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for over a year. The floors were sticky and murky brown.
High covid risk, the tables are tightly packed together.
Food was great and the prices were affordable but service was slow and they forgot many items or got them wrong
Delicious yumcha restaurant with good service. Their menu included all of the classic must-have yumcha dishes. I appreciated that the menu had photos for some of the dishes which would be helpful for those who don't eat yumcha a lot.
I love this place. Been there a few times for dinner. Good service. Food comes out quick. The dishes we ordered were always freshly cooked and so tasty. Tonight we had Black pepper prawns and Cumin Lamb
