Khukuri Adelaide reviews
21I had an amazing experience with my family enjoying the jhoi thakali set. The quality of the food was satisfactory; however, the dining experience could have been enhanced by the use of traditional Nanglo instead of plastic ones.
I recently dined and takeaway from your restaurant and appreciate the pride it brings to our community. However, I must share my disappointment in the food, notably the momos, which fell short compared to renowned establishments "Naryan Dai Momo. " I encourage you to prioritize quality, skilled chefs, engaging events, and impeccable service for a more satisfying dining experience. This feedback aims at contributing to your success, and I hope to witness positive changes during my future visits. Thank you.
Love the atmosphere, food was good. Its better to book on friday as u might have to wait long to get a seat. Not sure about other days how busy it gets. With Live music.
Geat place to hang out. Loved the food there and the environment. The staffs are very friendly
Got takeaway today for the first time from here. 1 chicken biriyani and 2 chicken fried rice. Food was really good. Love it. However the portions are too small.
Great service and plenty of different options to choose.
Will be back for dine in.
Absolutely amazing food, vibes and services. Foods were on time. Enjoyed everything but Badel ko masu was just extra wow. Thank you for opening the best Nepalese restaurant in Adelaide. I would recommed everyone to visit Khukuri Adelaide.
Welcome to Adelaide, Khukuri. You have popped up out of nowhere and introduced me to Nepali food.
This place has an awesome setting and decor, lovely environment and I am very keen to check out some of the bands (everynight at 7)
The Soy Chicken is one of the best foods I have ever eaten. I will be eating this a lot from now on.
This is a Nepalese restaurant with live music. It was nice to be able to taste delicious food while listening to exciting Nepalese songs. I don't remember the names of all the dishes, but overall they were all delicious. In particular, Momo, a Nepalese dumpling, was a perfect fit for Korean tastes. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice and perfect. At the end of the live performance, people danced in front of me. However, it took a long time for the alcohol I ordered to come out, and although I ordered 60mls of whiskey, it came out in what seemed like less than 10mls.
The service and atmosphere was okay but the food was actually bad. Ordered thakali set and it didn’t even have items which should be in thakali set and goat curry included in thakali set was absolutely ridiculous. And, few other items tasted bad, smelt and seemed like it was from few days back.
[attractive menu but taste is below par]
This is a beautiful place to be, a very beautifully decorated amazing interior. Proudly representing nepalese vibe and wonderful nepalese food from the menu thats very attractively designed too. The location is very prime in the middle of the city. Easy for parking paid or free street parking after 6 pm. Its amazing to see the busy nepalese restaurant which is open not long ago. The live music is the catch here which lights the vibe for the patrons.
Location: best
Service: 3.5 star
Atmosphere: 5 star
Food: 3 star
Pricing: 3.5 star
May b we were on a wrong day but pressure cooker momo was very average, handi momo had too much ginger on it. Sekuwa (chicken, pork, goat) all 3 were good. Bhutan khaja and newari khaja set were very average. Chilly chicken was as usual. They ran out of chyang so we couldnt order more. Piro alu was good. Cocktails were good.
Should focus on taste of food and service. Food has to be tasty too not just unique. Will visit once again sooner.
We waited more than 30 mins for foodIf it was busy it was understandable but we came at morning and the food was not provided to us on timeWe were during collage break and we cant waste our time on waiting food
Amazing food! Burst of flavours.
Do try momo plater, jhaneko sekuwa, chowmein, momo thupak and fried rice, really good
Amazing ambience
Bamboo momo, joi thakali set, chwassai chatpat was yummy and the live music was enjoyable Overall excellent
Service and Atmosphere were amazing. Really loved the live music.
Taste of the food was not upto the mark. We had veg chowmein and chicken chowmein. The chowmein were below average. Not much flavour in them. Other nepali restaurants do very good chowmein. So, hopefully next time things will improve.
However, the momos, chatpate and chilly chicken was good.
Came with family on tuesday night was abit busy food quality was really good but service was terrible. Live song was really loud or high on pitch it was hard to listen what staff was telling to us while taking order Venue has got really decoration bar loooks good.
Environment is lovely.good theme! But too loud music cannot barely hear what other people are saying.food is below standard unfortunately.
Thank you very much guys for making my wedding dinner so special.
We all were happy and enjoyed a lot
Great food
Good service with a good vide
We were there in group last night for wedding reception and enjoy a lot with live music. Service staff were also good the bartender’s name i forgot he was very nice and was giving good service. Even they were closed they were providing us service and letting us having fun with the music. Food was also good there.
I really had a very bad impression with the guy in front (the guy with black cap turning back side). He lacks professionalism and really bad customer service. We had to leave the restaurant even before our food arrived as he said we were out of time. The guy deserve zero star.
We went for a dinner on Sunday.
Ambience is good.
Food
We ordered goat Bhutan, pressure cooker momo & wild boar Sekuwa for starter. Bamboo momo, chicken khaja set, sha phaley and Matka momo for the mains. Over all, food was good, Bhutan & sha phaley was the best.
Drinks
We had 7 cocktails by two person,
Ragat ko khola, hazelnut espresso martini & orange whisky sour was really amazing.
Service - really need to work on the service, starters were served one after another, which is acceptable as we were sharing but it was really late & took 50 mins for the last starter.
As it was a sharing, didn’t got any sharing plates so we had to ask at the end. Need to oversee the tables for clearing & I suggest the team to up-sale drinks, as the venue have huge potential to up-sale drinks.
I have booked another big dinner (8pax) with my colleagues on 22nd. I hope the management will work on the service.
