Daughter got quote for gas hot water service there quote was ridiculous I don't no how you get customers as my daughter could never pay for it

I recently had the need to call a plumber 2 days in a row. Ken Hall plumbers are friendly, punctual, professional and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing assistance.

James C was most helpful …. We purchased a toilet and suite together with an installation voucher from Bunnings …. James made the first visit and explained that the toilet suite was not suitable for installation …. He provided a list of items to purchased including a new cistern …. Luckily, as it was a Friday he showed us how to operate the cistern without using the buckets of water …. He returned on Monday and the installation was completed to our total satidfaction

We recently had our smoke detectors replaced by Ken Hall electricians and I can’t recommend their service highly enough. From the first call with their staff, who provided exceptional customer service, to their electrician who provided a professional and efficient service, I have been very impressed!

Plumbers arrived same day and completed job in a timely fashion. " UPDATED Review 17/01/2022. Use Ken Hall again and had a plumber out the same day and job was completed asap. Plumber was friendly, efficient and kept me in the loop at all times. Can't recommend Highly enough.

I have had 2 experiences with Ken Hall. The first was with a plumber who came to remove tree roots from our piping. He was great, friendly, efficient and we were very happy with the price we paid as it was very reasonable and much less than we expected.
My recent experience was not great at all. Had a plumber come out to diagnose why our kitchen tap had no pressure.after 1hr he told us that it is the tap itself that needs replacement and was on his way. He was also very friendly.
For the visit we were charged $384 for him to just diagnose the issue, not fix. Turns out they charged us $95 for a part they didn't install and I had to bring this to their attention.but still, nearly $300 to tell us the tap was busted seems steep.
THEN we were quoted for them to come install a new tap. The quote totaled $800 with $330 being for the actual tap. $800 to replace a tap? I am all for paying people for their work & time but that is insane.
I ended up buying a good quality tap from Bunnings, watching a YouTube video and installing myself in 1hr.
The only positive with Ken Hall is they get back to you quickly to have to someone come out AND their staff are very friendly.
Unfortunately I will no longer be using Ken Hall and would rather support a smaller, independent business that quotes more reasonable prices.

Really impressed with Ashley Harding's effort, from initial call to problem being fixed 3/4. I had a fountain in my front yard.

I felt comfortable with the QUOTE and Plumber. (I knew i was not being ripped off). I liked having a mature person, who KNEW about the product and what was suitable for me. AND, left my premises tidy at no EXTRA cost.

Trade people were lovely and I can not fault them at all, the the organisation and administration is beyond a joke. We contacted to organise a service on our evaporative, and asked to have a look and see why it wasn’t working. They rang me the day before the appointment asking if I could do an earlier time. I said I would check and let them know. After checking I rang back to confirm that I would need to keep the original appointment time. They stated that my original time wasn’t actually available, I had never had a booking for that time. It took far to much back and forth to have them agree to a time that worked for us, not the the time they wanted.
Again the tradespeople were fantastic. Confirmed that we needed a new part, and that the office would be in touch with a quote. This time around, booking a time for the repair went smoothly. The appointment was booked for 10am. This plumber, who was again friendly and knowledgeable, spoke to me afterwards and let me know that we needed a repair part. I confirmed that yes, that’s why he was here and we had booked a repair. He explained he hadn’t been told that. He contacted the office and confirmed someone would be by at 2.30 with the part. No one came at 2: 30. At 4pm I rang to check if someone was still attending. Got a very curt yes they will. Someone came at 5.15. This plumber immediately informed me that he wasn’t told it was a repair and he didn’t have the part, but he would contact the office. Again, friendly as anything. I contact only to be told that the office is closed, so I have taken the day away from work for nothing and it can’t be resolved today.

This review has been edited. After posting this review I was contacted by Ken Hall at 6pm. They were apologetic and stated that they would have some out shortly. Someone arrived at 7pm and was able to complete the repair. Again, the tradesperson was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I hope he was paid overtime, he absolutely deserved it. The next day I was contacted asking to adjust the review. While I am happy the issue was dealt with, I will not be using Ken Hall again, and I highly recommend you go elsewhere. While the job will (eventually) be completed by great tradespeople, the amount of chasing it took to make that happen wasn’t worth it.

Called the service on gas leak on friday after hour to check where the leak coming from
the gas was isolated before the plumber come
he wasted more than an hour not knowing how to turn the gas back on to inspect so i have no choice but asked him to install a temporary hot system but it only worked for first hour.plus ruined one of my gas pipe after the the installation
i ended up getting charged around $450 for 1h30m for nothing

Excellent staff and service. A little pricey but your staff get a lot done in the time they are here. Reliability, so many tradies are hopelessly unreliable, you guys have been spot on. Simon, the plumber who came was excellent and so was the electrician I had a few months ago (can’t remember his name). Thank you good people u all have a good and safe 2023!

Matt serviced my evaporative air conditioner to be ready for summer use. He completed the task professionally and efficiently which left me very happy.

$240 for 15 minutes so that somebody could tell me my bathtub is leaking. No kidding, that's why I called you! Outrageous quote to fix and ended up finding someone else for a third the price. This overmarketed company is a borderline scam.
