Kangaroo Island Seafront Holiday Park reviews
49Camp kitchen needs to upgrade like add on the cooking stove & some basic kitchen utensils, cutlery & coffee mugs.
The reception lady was completely unhelpful and in a mood, quite rude. Got charged an extra $15 per person to access site an hour earlier that was already empty. A bit much considering the night is $40. Shame as this forms the first impression. The groundsman was wonderful and helpful.
The camp itself is in a great location, close to the main centre of Penneshaw. The facilities were good but needed a decent clean.
The glamping tents were amazing. However I wouldn't recommend for poor weather trips.
We stayed here on our first and last night on KI in a campervan so we were mainly self sufficient.
The bathrooms were unisex all in one shower and toilet which could do with a good scrub (being an ex cleaner I’m a little fussy) and the all in one laundry and camp kitchen is tiny.
The campground is walking distance to the beach, ferry, pub and Millie Mae cafe (our favourite).
It’s a quiet camp ground and we enjoyed our stay here for those two nights.
Really amazing. Stayed in the eco tents. They are perfect for a couple of nights, the view is great, easy walking distance from the main town. Walking distance too beach ️. And easily accessible from the boat.
Great camp ground. Bell Tent was very clean and well kitted out. Very comfy bed. Showers were spotless.
The Romantic Glamping location said it had sea views, a kitchen and the perfect romantic getaway, yes sea views but no where near the sea, kitchen er no, we had a sink and a fridge, i had to buy a toaster. The staff had a major fault, they did not know how to smile or make us feel welcome, its a if it was a burden for them to be there.
I would strongly suggest do not go to the Seafront Holiday Park unless your sick of life. The pictures on the website are nothing like what we ended up in.
Great it offered Netflix, problem it didnt work.
It was very cold in the glamping tent, air conditioner didnt not work very well, and there were no spare blankets, i had to wear normal clothes in bed with my jacket just to keep warm.
Kind helpful staff, despite the computer being down and a mix up with the room. It was all sorted and we were shown to our lovely clean accommodation. Great location, walking distance to ferry, car hire, pub and supermarket.
What an experience! Great location and very quite and everything is close including ferry terminal.
All amenities are clean and well maintained. There are communal BBQ and firepit for all.
Great location, nice stroll to the pub and friendly staff. Lots of toilets and showers. Washing machine on site but no drier. Very quite and a big communal fire pit
I stayed in the Oceanfront villa for two nights and the view is absolutely amazing. The villa itself was built recently and has a kitchen and two separate bedrooms. This property is close to the ferry and supermarket, very convenient location. The only issue is the internet, Vodafone and Optus has poor coverage on the island, the free wifi is not stable as well.
Great park with waking distance to everything. Fantastic views with friendly caretakers. Across the road from Nice beach
Stayed in a powered site. Nice and quiet, very welcoming and helpful staff and absolutely brilliant facilities (you get your own toilet and shower to yourself!)
Stayed in a glamping tent within the holiday park and what a fabulous place to stay. Well appointed tent (comfy bed, lovely bathroom and a small kitchenette with a bar fridge), beautiful view and peaceful environment. Close to the ferry terminal and an easy walk to the shops/cafe/pub. It was a wonderful stay! If you enjoy stepping off the grid for a while this is the place to go.
Wonderful experiences in this holiday park, we booked a eco luxury tent, and it has excellent bathroom, and we had a perfect shower after the dusty trip (grip road you know.)
Bewt Park in Penneshaw KI
Very close to the ferry terminal and town shops.
Very tidy park with nice size sites with power and other types of accommodation.
Amenities are excellent.
Recommended.
Stayed in a family tent complete with beds, supplies, power, space and lighting. Very clean and high quality bathrooms with showers and toilets as well as a free-to-use laundry. Strongly recommended for a light ‘camping’ stay for a family.
We loved our stay at the Glamping Tents - amazing view over the ocean, watching the ferry come and go. Aircon worked well, clean, fresh and great staff.
Great park in Penneshaw, reception staff were lovely, kitchen & wait staff fantastic, special shout out to Allison (!).
Your caretakers, Ellie & Steve, terrific is an understatement!
Great spot. Beautiful big gum trees around the place. Lovely ocean views. You're just a short walk from the beach/jetty. There's also a penguin walk nearby if you go at dusk you might see the little penguins coming in from fishing. So it's a great location. Facilities are fantastic. All modern, clean and beyond expectations. Multiple bathrooms you have to yourself with toilet, basin and shower. They look as good as a hotel bathroom. There's also a kitchenette with fridge, kettle, toaster, two large sinks and a washing machine. It's a great spot. There's powered sites available as well as glamping tents and eco cabins.
