Best fish and chips on the island, fresh, crispy, tasty and well priced. Staff are friendly.

The owner, Jim, is a top bloke and was kind enough to let us use his vac pack after a fishing charter haul. Would go again!

There are are not many options on Kangaroo Island to try local produces/ sea foods, and for anyone staying in Kingscote, this would most likely be the only option. But despite the effective "monopoly", this place offers fantastic sea foods, including local caughts and also serves decent proportions. On top it, the price was an absolute steal, given the current inflationarly situation all around.

It is a easy and uncomplicated way to eat seafood. A wide range of seafood is offered. Helpful staff. Affordable price. But do not expect comfort or flair.

The $66 seafood meal deal is big enough to feed 4 to 5 ppl. Spacious and clean with a few tables for dine in. Go early as the place get busy from 5 onwards.

Small servings. I told them I was gluten free, but then gave me a pasta for the salad. A little disappointed, as people raved about this place. I hope next time is better!

Nice food and good service. As first time visitors, the shop was a bit difficult to locate (in next to service station) but worth finding. We got fish and chips take away, and had it in the park at nearby Kingscote beach park.

I order a fisherman's basket an the squid an scollops were half RAW first & last time I will be getting food from there!

This shop is what other fish & chip shops hope they were like. Looks regular, name sounds regular, but definitely not your regular shop! Food is not too oily, great crunchy chips, fresh fish, friendly and quick service… definitely the whole package! Even the crumb fried stuff weren’t too oily (unlike 98% of other places), and the batter is good quality! Definitely a mandatory stop if you’re in KI. I went there twice it was that good!

The fish and chips are delicous, espically the calamari, but if you do go here, what ever you do, drink a fizzy with it, as it turns out, the food causes so much gastric issues that for the entirety of the next day I couldn't move my legs for extended periods without feeling excruciating pain, you'll need the fizzy to relieve the gas and with it the pain, If you drink it the day after you will need several instead of the one.

Was a little worried when i saw it was in a petrol station but was pleasently surprised. Food was great, picked local fish and it was excellent. Didnt eat the tartare sauce cos didnt have to hide any bad smells. Great food, nice people.

We popped in to buy some delicious seafood to cook for dinner and had wonderful service from the gentleman that served us! When we mentioned that we were going on a fishing charter the following day he said that if we popped back in afterwards we might be able to have some of our fish filleted there. After our charter we did come back and met Scott who managed to fillet our fishing haul on short notice at just $5 a fish. I mentioned that I wanted to have a go at filleting a few myself and he was kind enough to demonstrate for me - what an absolute legend! The food was hot and freshly cooked and reasonable priced. The serving was extremely generous and we had to share it with the Magpies and Seagulls

Nicely fried seafood served with a surprisingly good fresh tossed salad of mixed greens, capsicum strips, cucumber, pea shoots and cherry tomatoes.

Fantastic fresh fish. Great batter. Calamari perfect. Fluffy potato cakes. Crispy chips.

Purchased seafood for Good Friday. Wow the Crayfish was delightful, Oysters were beautiful, Prawns were the best I've ever had and the Garfish was to die for. Served early am by the filliters. Great guys and all the best for the future, your seafood is top quality.

Great service with the possibility of selecting the raw fish to be cooked. All real fresh fish and oysters. Recommended by the residenta and an absolute must try on kangaroo island!

Clean, ample, fresh and perfectly cooked all with great service. Highly recommended.only downside was interior had a smelly smoke? Which means take way recommended.
