Kalv & Co. Cafe and Wine Bar reviews
21I had lunch here as part of a large group and was surprised by how quickly my meal came out and the quality of the food. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and the portion size was perfect (although small compared to some places, where I usually can't finish the meal) and crispy, and I loved the crunch I got with every bite. Serving the gravy separately may have helped here. I also ordered the toffee caramel frappe and loved how there was an initial caramel taste while drinking it, and then a toffee aftertaste that stuck for a moment. The staff were lovely and I highly recommend this place
Great coffee and cakes. We went during a busy period, service was good and quick despite the large number of customers.
A bit loud in the Cafe, but again, it was unusually busy when we visited.
Very busy place and quite nice fresh clean place. BUT.come on people how hard is it to make a hot chocolate.i even went up and asked how they did it coz it was horrible.it was watered down and they use choc syrup and for sure it was the cheap nasty choc syrup brand.not the hersheys choc syrup guaranteed.if you are reading this you do not use syrup you use choc powder either cadbury or a top quality choc powder brand or cocoa with full cream milk. $5 for a cup of hot water is disgusting.step it up people!
Fantastic atmosphere, great tasting brekkie with vegetarian options.
Very busy cafe however able to process orders efficiently whilst maintaining quality.
Bitterly disappointed
Went there because it was supposed to be a wine bar no signage to say they didn't have a licence
Three menu items we ordered weren't available
What we eventually ordered was very poor
To avoid disappointment give it a miss
Waited 25 minutes for takeaway pancakes. Paid $16 for this aka $8 a pancake. Pancakes themselves were hard and floury.
Food items delivered were wrong items. Cutlery had to be chased up. Coffee got forgotten. Staff busy and apologised but the whole experience wasn't memorable to return. I'll go to Maddie's Cafe instead.
We ordered a chicken fillet burger and smoked salmon bruschetta. The food was excellent as was the coffee. Liked the way you could have a small serve with the bruschetta.
Had the special BEEF burger chips. When i took the first bight it was sloppy soft pail colour there was no taste. No beef in this burger more like a veggie burger. When i asked the waitress she said it was beef laughable. Asked the woman with green hair to speak to manager she said they were to busy even though cafe only had one other couple sitting. She said manger said give refund. She was so rude wont be back unfortunately.
The best lunch, very enjoyable, great range of healthy options. Very fast service, friendly staff. Large portions, enjoyed eating it in the park opposite. Great way to finish a mini holiday. Recommended by locals, so you know you can't go wrong
Came it for breakfast great staff lovely people got food a bit pricey but worth ever penny to what you ask is what you get I recommend this place if you want a good breaky
Despite advertising 5pm closing - it now closes at 4pm. Yet could still walk in (space full of people) but the coffee machine was off.: (
I dare say it it’s good (considering the number still in the cafe) but couldn’t have a coffee to comment on.
Great place for breakfast. Food was great and staff were very accommodating. Best hot chocolate I have had in years.
Delicious coffee and freshly baked scones.all homemade. Would highly recommend this cafe.also warm friendly service
The food is amazing. Haven't had the privilege of the wine yet. Cosy little cafe, the coffee is excellent, service is excellent. If you're local you already know. If you're passing through, we'll it's the place to stop for lunch.

We love that there is always some healthy options on the menu. They have some yummy raw treats that are dairy and gluten free.
Best lunch schnitzel ive had in years. The missus loved the steak burger.
Im coming back here on the regular!
Husbands fush over cooked & dry. My squid was from a packed & also over done. The spinach on the salad was old & spotty. Chips good.
Nice setting, but food over priced. I had take away quiche without salad which I was charged more for? Quiche was pleasant but certainly not the best I've had elsewhere. Takeaway cappuccino was ordinary. Not fussed however as there are plenty of other cafe's in town. I won't be back.
