Must try biryani and curries

Pathetic place. Do not recommend at all. They have no manners and do not know what's going on in there restaurant and what to display on the apps. They showed open and all options available on apps and then they cancelled my order saying that we don't have food in the restaurant.

Coming from Sydney, place was clean, we were attended to kindly. Food came out reasonably quickly with big portions and plenty of flavour. Not too oily and the bhature were cooked to perfection. Thanks to all the team, we'll be back

Really nice food and great prices. Only lost a star as the chow mein was super spicy (my partner couldn't eat it). Since when is chow mein spicy?

Went because the dosa was once nice, however recent
meal was very disappointing - ordered four curries (three came) and were not distinguishable from one another in taste, colour and texture (and the forth - eggplant, when it did eventually arrive, was identical).

Our meal was, at best, 'consistent' - one curry sauce + a half cup of chicken; same sauce + half cup of prawns; same sauce + cup of potato and eggplant; same sauce + dahl.

We should have stuck with dosai.

It's a awesome food and awesome service. I loved the masala dosa and haidrabadi style papadi chat. It's so delicious. Also, you can try any curry and roti, which has pure taste of the food. I insist just try once. I am a regularly visit this restaurant.

Nice food, however, masala dosa filling was missing the spices and flavour, simply blunt in taste.

I have tried masala dosa from Johnny's Kitchen. Dosa is so so delicious and couldn't stop myself to eat more.

Johnny’s Kitchen is one of the best of the best in Adelaide. The first proper hyderabadi dum biryani we had almost after 2 months and thank you john for the conversation that you made with us.
Biryani, especially chicken in it was very well cooked and we thank you for putting all the efforts to bringing up proper authentic Hyderbadi Dum Biryani.

We went tonight, quick service when we arrived, we sat and ordered our meal and in no time it arrived hot and very tasty. The young lady was pleasant. There wasn’t a lot of customers, I don’t know why but we enjoyed the 3 course meal, wine and the night.

This is certainly one of the best Indian food I had in Adelaide. If you are a biryani lover then this is the place for you. Starters are amazing and overall food quality is excellent.

It is a weekend night. Accidentally we find this place. We are afraid how the food is going to be on our way. After viewing menu, I felt soo relaxed to see South Indian breakfast. We tried dosa’s very delicious as they are home made. Sooo yummy. South Indian biryani it is. My tummy is sooo full now! I can’t even concentrate on writing a review afta having a such a feast. I definitely recommend this place if you really want to have a tasty food. Or pure South Indian style food.

Very tasty, good portions.
Disappointingly the veg. Biryani lacking the 'vegetables'. Might as well just get the Biryani rice, at 7.90 its half the price!

Excellent customer service. Great authentic flavours and generous portion sizes. Good variety in the menu and the mango lassis and Tea was just perfect to complement the meal! Keep up the excellent work team.

Excellent food, freshly made and tastes amazing. The prices are also reasonable. Been there a couple of times and every experience was great with food made as per our preference. Apollo Fish, Biryani, Hyderabadi Chicken Curry with chapati (freshly hand made and not frozen) are my top most fav and repeated picks. Not to forget the owner always greets personally, great customer service!

Wonderful experience overall. The ambience was nice, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly and warm. The chef had personally greeted us and asked about the food, that felt amazing. I really enjoyed Apollo fish (crunchy and mouth melting delicious fish). Chicken biryani was flavourful. Chicken 65, chicken chowmein, mango lassi and South Indian breakfast platter were delicious.
Special treatment for our baby girl by staff Soumith. Definitely would want to visit to try out other delicacies over there.

Very nice food and wonderful staff. House wine is definitely drinkable and their prices are good

We ordered take away based on the reviews and high star rating.
Unfortunately we found it disappointing.
Hardly any meat and chicken in either dish and ordinary flavours.
Not sure what all the fuss is about.
