Basic motel room for over $200/night. - expensive! In room # 8 - unpleasant sewerage smell in bathroom. Annoying whistling sound in plumbing whilst people in room next door having showers. Room clean and appreciated the drinks and snacks provided for all visitors. Dont expect any extras if you’re a Platinum Accor member - no recognition, no upgrade even though motel was nowhere near full, no free breakfast available.

Stayed here for a business trip. Rooms are tidy and clean. I had a spa bath in a nice big bathroom. Only negative I have is that for $220 odd a night, the shower head was inadequate and well past it’s used by date. The water sprays out of the holes in directions including straight out the door and into your eye

Fantastic stay. Was pleasantly surprised coz didn't know what Pirie had in terms of hospitality. The rooms were big with a massive telly and a humongous bathroom. The check in and out was a breeze. The staff was absolutely friendly.

Fast friendly check in. Rooms were excellent with great extras like Foxtel, liquid soaps, snacks etc.

I stayed here for a work trip. Rooms are basic and small and they are clean. They have kettle, toaster and small fridge. The mattress is quite hard in my view. The complimentary snacks of chips, peanuts, a cookie and bottles of water were appreciated.

I stayed at the John Pirie Motor Inn on my drive, during my relocation from Melbourne to Kalgoorlie to live.
I highly recommend this Motor Inn for your accommodation requirements in Port Pirie SA. The gentleman who processed my booking in at the reception desk was professional, friendly and very helpful.
My room was wonderful, very spacious, a very high standard of cleanliness,
well set out, and had everything you would need for a great & relaxing stay.
The complementary bottle of wine chips, bottled water, chocolate bars was a lovely surprise. (And yes I enjoyed them). Had a wonderful meal at the restaurant attached to the Motor Inn, Angus & Co. The restaurant staff were fantastic.
Whether you are travelling through or a local. Definitely keep this Motor Inn and restaurant in mind for accommodation and a great meal.

This is an outstanding value for money accommodation. Staff are fantastic, friendly and very helpful. Rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and well appointed. The free gift items go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Liked it so much we re-booked 3 x times when we were in Port Pirie in our across country travel. Outstanding and could not recommend higher. A credit to management.

Nice place to stay but unfortunately the cleaning wasn't up to standard. There was still lots of hair left in the shower, there was dirty dishes in the cupboard, the spare blankets were dirty and crusty. There were cockroaches in the room. We went to use the BBQ and it was very dirty and once we cleaned it and turned it on we found out it had a gas leak.

Convenient and reasonable. Chose the normal room for a change and there was lots of noise from adjacent room. At check out I was told reception didn’t open till 10am.

I Was told that I couldn't eat in the restaurant and that I had to have a shower before being seated, I was wearing a collared shirt, pants and boots also not acceptable, although at the next table there were people wearing tank tops and thongs.
What happened to No Shirt No Shoes No Service.
Needless to say I cancelled the thirty day reservation immediately and walked down the road to eat.
Your Staff are killing your business.
Plenty of better accommodation available nearby.

This is a great motel for 1 or 2 nights stay. We had a stopover here and I have to say the service from Andrew was fantastic. Very helpful as I accidently booked the wrong day and it wasn't a problem to check in.
The room was a decent size, with a comfortable bed and a nice pressured shower.
The grounds are well kept and we went and used the pool which was so clean and so was the BBQ.
What topped it all off was the complimentary bottle of wine, chips, cookie, nuts and water. You don't get that service in a 5 star hotel unless you have a status.
I highly recommend the John Pirie - 5 stars. Well done guys.

Decent 3 star Motel less than 2km from the main shopping precinct of Port Pirie. Seems to be the accommodation of choice for various Government groups. Room was spacious enough and included a large bathroom with spa. Has a small fridge, kettle but no crockery as such. Some rooms have a microwave but not all - just have to ask at Reception if you need one. The freezer didn't seem to work well at all in terms of actually freezing items, and the drip tray was overflowing.
Bed was possibly a King size and was quite comfortable once you removed the myriad of additional pillows / cushions. Each room has a decent A/C unit to keep things comfortable but the overhead fan can be quite noisy.

Rooms are dated, mine was a Spa room which are located at the back near the pool area. It is quiet with undercover carport. My room was not clean, spiders and spider webs everywhere. Old food etc between cushions. By 'Spa room' don't expect a Spa bath and seperare shower, its a bath with shower over. Very difficult to get in and out of, no shower mat, so slippery. No microwave, there was a toaster and kettle, tea & coffee 2 cups. There were no glasses, crockery or cutlery.

Lovely spacious room with very comfortable king size bed. Friendly helpful staff. Always our go to accommodation when visiting Pirie.

Great place to stay awesome staff friendly very and helpful was able to give me a Room with short notice very clean and tidy Nice restaurant & bar good food with room service.room was clean comfortable and stocked with basic supplies Great showers good water pressure i’d be happy to stay there again

One night stopover, staff were very friendly & helpful. Room was clean & comfortable & had a good night sleep before hitting the road again in the morning

Overpriced, out dated, dirty, cobwebs and mice poo! Hard beds, not enough bedding (freezing) terrible staff

Have stayed before many times rooms were better, this time stayed with SA tourist voucher room was very bad, wanted to leave but did not want to drive at night back to Adelaide.
