Jervois Street Reserve reviews
34From the first call to the ongoing support sessions, their team has been nothing but patient, supportive, and knowledgeable
Large reserve with many options in the space. Public toilets available. Public bbqs, only one was working last time we used them. Fenced off playground with water play, slides, swings and sandpit. Large race track circling the whole reserve. 2 undercover seating areas located at opposite ends of the reserve.
Great suburban playground, fenced areas and excel loo (1). Green space, half court bball, picnic tables. Water play pump and some generous souls have put some digger trucks in the sand pit.
Something for everyone at this well equipped and thought-through suburban park. The playground seems to always have kids that seem really happy and having fun. Outside of the playground, dog walkers and families playing cricket or soccer in the middle oval area take advantage of the lovely grassed area, trees, plants and walkways.
Great playground with multiple play areas, fitness corner, jogging track, off road bike area, basketball hoop, flying fox, toilet, water fountain, free barbecues, and a big grassy field to run around in. A hidden gem! Now shade trees have grown it's even better.
Fireball, I'm atomic all day now. Talking bout game, got bars like a playground. Hey now, I hope you're ready for the take down. Tell cyranizzy to hit me with the break down.
Park has good layout with enclosed play area for young kids, but lacks in other areas. The flying fox has uneven handlebars and is very steep. When you lift it up to the top it slides back down. It is very tall and I struggle to reach it as a 1.7m tall person. Those handlebars are hard to use and very slippery with scratches all over it. It’s shape makes it uneven and causes kids to fall easily. It makes it more unsafe that when they fall they fall down 2 metres. I fractured my arm in the past doing this.
The adult gym equipment is very difficult to use with the distance between the foot stepping section being really hard to use and having to do the splits just to use it. Getting rid of the water pump in the younger inclosed zone was upsetting. It makes the sandpit feel dull without it.
The whole playground only has fencing on one side which is pointless and unsafe for kids as there are two roads right next to the playground. Wooden equipment is very slippery and hard to hold on to. The ladder for the monkey on the outside making it practically impossible to get to the bars.
The floor for the basketball court is uneven. It makes it hard to play games on it. Overall the playground is okay but it has a lot to work on. I preferred it as a block of land.
Extra shade sails added over climbing equipment. Good amount of trees for shade now they are maturing. Clean automatic toilet. Table tennis table- byo bats and balls. Clever idea. Delightful family park. Worth the drive.
The table area is filthy its a shame it is not cleaned by the council with all the parties that are had and the water feature has been taken away such a shame.
Great play space, wish both sides were fenced. Good that one of the play areas is fully enclosed
This is a great little park. There’s a tarmac path around the outside great for bikes or scooters, a small bmx track, a couple of different play areas, an adult exercise area (chin-ups, monkey bars, etc) toilets, picnic tables, and a big grassy area in the middle.
This playground has great playground equipment and is mostly shaded by shade structures made to resemble butterflies, very well done.
The toilets are the self cleaning type and are well positioned. The playground is well fenced to ensure the little ones stay where we want them.
Great playground for younger kids, enclosed playground area with water pump. It also has an oval, bmx track and exercise equipment, BBQs, undercover tables and a toilet.
Good for little and bigger kids. Small bball court, mini bike track, nature play area and various bits of play equipment. Nice spot to walk the dog when there's not many people around.
Stayed across road at venice and the man for holiday. Great place to take the kids to burn some energy off. Also great place for teaching kids to ride their bikes. Loved it
Would be great for family's if the hole park was fenced for the safety of the children as there is tables and play equipment next to the road and piece of mind for parents and grandparents
These playground needs at least two hours so much to play with here and it is only a quick walk to the beach too. Kids loved it!
Dog pooh everywhere bins full of clothes as if it is a random dumping area irrigation tubing visible and a trip hazard trees on the bike track over grown and full of bees. The flying fox is to big for most kids even some adults struggle to reach it. People who plan and design these things need to reassess what they do for a living.
Lovely park. Kids at a wonderful time.
But we left one choc sandle behind. Returned shorty but gone. Don't understand why someone would take, just one shoe, surely they could leave it displayed, incase we returned.
Its good. Talking toilet scared my kids lol. They said a man was talking to them in toilet, then we realised it was an exceloo smart toilet - the toilet that talks to you lol. But a fence the entire perimeter of the park would be nice so you can relax a little more about kids not going onto the road
