Jacobs Creek Visitor Centre reviews
74 Diego is a good wine tester guide.
He explained everything well giving us more history of the various wines.
He also smiles and checks on the patrons giving well detailed wine information.
Thank you so much for assisting us.
Would have been lovely if the team (male) was kind enough to wait for myself and my toddler to find our way out instead of pushing and stressing myself (with unsettled toddler) to go outside because there's other diners (nind you there are lesser than we arrived)
We were there with our families to buy wines (actually we recommended you guys the family), how incosiderate was it for one of your team to do so? ! You were meant to be kid and family friendly. Dissappointed was such an understatement. I felt humiliated and embarrassed. We were on our way out, the least you could have said "it's okay! " most people would, in the customer service sector, we would.
I visited the Cellar Door last week and was amazed at the ultra modern fitout and the ultra attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble and I was pleasantly surprised to try some of the wines on offer. I am a big fan of Jacobs Creek wines and only wish I had had more time to spend there. Worth visiting. Try the cafe. Lots of yummy goodies.
Lovely place to visit for wine tasting. The staff are excellent and give you some very good information about the Barossa wine making. The various varieties of vine you get here are amazing. The grape vines had just started to sprout for the season ahead. I liked the Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon aged in Rum barrel
Very commercial. All is very scripted. We were missing the heart and soul of a good old winery. There are much better places around in the Barossa Valley.
Excellent experience.
Masa was the gentlman who took us thriugh our wine tasting experience. Very detailed and unhurried process it was. Recommend to anyone.
Tip: their Tawny is terrific
Worst wine tasting here! Dru served us and was not attentive at all so we had to keep waiting for the next wine and he'd clearly been drinking too much (eyes closing, not speaking clearly and didn't say any details of several of the wines we tasted!)
Oh dear, I paid for my wine tasting. Got there at the allocated time. Sat on my stool waiting to be served or even looked at, but no. Walked past. Finally a taste was poured and they w walked off. Waited.a girl came by while she looked aroundamnd then went. Waited again, ended pouring my own tasting and then left. So disappointed.
Worst place I have been to, Wine is below par and the Cafe does not serve food.
Would not recommend wine tours or tasting.
Lovely experience! DD's get a complimentary tea/coffee which we thought was a nice touch. Wine tasting was delicious and informative.
Nice place to stop by. Most of the wine can be bought in liquor stores but still a good place to visit as it has plenty of seating and lawns to relax on. It also has table tennis tables too which is great for kids.
Not one of the best tasting experiences in the area. Nice tasting area and surrounds however staff are inatentive. We went there for the experience as you can generally buy the wine Cheaper elsewhere and it was ok.
The seller door was nice and the staff who welcomed me at the front of the entrance was nice. But the person in charge of wine tasting didn't feel at all friendly. So I didn't want to buy any wine at the Seller Door.
I missed out last visit so I choose to visit only 1 winery️JUST "Jacob's creek" this time.
I guess it was the one of quiet day non school holiday on mid week. All staff were attentive and we had a lucky day! We had full service and fantastic time
There was choice of wine tasting of 6. I love red so skipped all whites and choose the best red wine of the day
Very rarely seen any pure Japanese staff in Australian local company and it was quite refreshing to hear about all beautiful wine in Japanese!
I choose the organic shiraz 2015, Shiraz cabernet Vintage 2010 and 20,40 & 57 aged tawny to take home.
Thank you so much for the complimentary cap and coffee.
I will visit again and try other wine for my friends who love white wine
Had a lovely tasting and got to know lots of different Jacobs Creek wines that are not available at home. Well organised and a fun activity with enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff.
Fantastic tasting experience in a beautiful setting.
As an older woman travelling alone, I often get ignored or patronised, but not at Jacobs Creek! Aleisha’s welcome was warm and sincere, and Ashlee the wine expert was equally pleasant. She patiently shared her wine knowledge with me and that made the tasting meaningful and enjoyable. Various wine varieties are available for tasting but I only tried a few white wines. The cost was $10, a bargain for a wonderful experience.
Top marks for quality wines and customer service at its best.
You have to pay to taste wine, it’s not free as the way was used to be. But it’s a lovely place to visit and relax with your friends, lover or family
Want a wine tasting? Take a book. A long one. "War and Peace". And some food and a sleeping bag. And hope you like your wine "smoked".
We arrived at 1: 20. Two other cars in the car park. Walked in and were informed they could "see us" in 15 minutes or so - for a $10 pp tasting which we were told would take only 30 minutes. So we stood there in the lobby.nowhere to sit.nothing to look at. I don't know why we didn't leave right then and there. Should have. Our 15-minute wait turned into 20 - and we were finally offered an uncomfortable seat at a tasting table.
A young man came over and introduced himself - obviously not experienced.halfway through his introduction an older man took over. The first wine was poured for us to taste and our server departed to chat with 2 other couples who also were up for tasting. At the 50-minute mark in this 30-minute tasting experience, having tasted 4 of the 5 wines, we got up and walked out. Here I should probably mention there were two other couples being served and no other customers - and nobody noticed we were leaving. Dreadful service and, frankly, the wines served were inferior - 3 of the 4 clearly made from smoke-affected grapes.
This was our first stop during our day trip to Barossa valley. Although we didn't have a reservation the staff still allowed us to have a wine tasting session.
The server was very informative. Jacob's creek was a good start to our day!
Went out of our way to come to this Iconic brand.only to find no food or coffee for lunch on a Sunday.
Couldn't even taste or buy any wine as they wouldn't take Australian Cash.
(The official government currency).
Obviously not interested in the local Aussie's even when coming from interstate.
