International Hotel-Motel reviews
38Didn't stay or ate there, just had a few drinks and played the pokies. Bar staff were nice and friendly.
Good room for 99. Clean, kettle cups provided, as well as towels and soap. Good location close walk to the best fish n chips. Well priced grog, and they have a super friendly and beautiful cat.
Good rooms, staff are really helpful and the cleaners are kind and funny. Great for a bit of hide away peace and quiet.
We were put in room 15A, called it a cabin, should have gone back and asked for my money back. No notification that breakfast was included or weather the dining room was open that night, very disappointed, sorry don't like giving bad reviews.
This is a difficult place to rate. It is a bit run down but staff are exceptionally friendly and overall we enjoyed the experience. The main bar area is OK but the restaurant could certainly do with a bit of a refresh. Meals were basic and generally overcooked - the old school overcooked and dry schnitzel.
Keeping it classy guys. Belittle a customer publicly on your facebook page then dirty delete not only your post but also your page
Always great service and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Meals are affordable good size and delicious. Customers are well behaved and not unruly. If you book a birthday dinner and have booked 8 or more people then you get a free birthday cake. Plenty of room for a small intimate dinner or a large wedding reception which they decorate and cater for also. Well done international will continue to coming to your establishment
Called in for a quick pint of west end draught wasn't the best could oould only drink half tipped the rest out I think the beer lines need a clean
Right next to the smelter, ypu can smell everything delightful about Port Pirie, but what do you expect? Clean room, was acceptable for a motel.
Great friendly place to eat drinks and meet good people.
As for rooms I hear there nice but I dint know I dint stay there as I live in the town
The Port Pirie International hotel is a great place to have Meal, a beer or whatever is your flavour. You can get a bed if needed or plan a party. In days gone by, the smelter staff would sneak down the Inter for quick couple then back on the tools, never heard of anyone having an accident because of a couple of frosty cold ones. This place has seen a lot of history, go check it out.
A mixture of different styles within this pub but has a relaxed feel. The dining room is huge and such great character to it. The food was also good. And a pretty good price. Overall probably a 3.5 to 4 star in my opinion.
$21 for a deep fried curled up piece of average quality beef snitzel bought out on a small sized dinner plate. Nothing else accompanied the meal. Hot salad bar consisted of an almost empty brocolli bake and a few pieces of roast pumpkin and potato mixed together. A handfull of chips were put in bain-marie toward end of meal. There was no pride or love put into the food. Partners battered fish accompanied by one small saggy piece of mesculine lettuce. Embarassing experience for the management and obviously uninvested kitchen staff. Waiting staff very young and unengaged. Decor is tired and in need of TLC.
This was the worst dinner I'd had in port more we waited 1 and a half hours for our food to come and when it finally come it was so small and not worth the money
Went for dinner Saturday night. Yes you need to book. I had lamb roast. Bit skimpy on the roast potato but the food was good. I also had apple Danish with ice cream. It cost $3. I couldn't work out why it was so cheap. Then I got it. It was tiny. My sister had apple Danish as well but with cream. Her Danish had to swim. It was drowning in cream. Yuk. Service was good. Place was clean
Tap beers tasted funky, heard others complaining about it to and bar staff could care less.
All I could hear when trying to sleep in my room upstairs was pokies and the shiela in the room next door gettin slammed.
All in all I wont be staying here next time I have to go to pirie
We were difficult customers. The staff was very helpful and the the chief still made excellent meals. Well done.
'Just' okay to stay for a night.was spacious but not clean, linen was of poor quality and bed seemed like from ages old. Overly priced.paid $98 for a night which was not even worth $50.
Old pub at the end of town closer to the old smelter.
Range of beers that you'd expect with dining room and pokie lounge.
Very overpriced. $21 for a deep fried curled up piece of average quality beef snitzel bought out on a small sized dinner plate. Nothing else accompanied the meal. Hot salad bar consisted of an almost empty sloppy brocolli bake and a few pieces of roast pumpkin and potato mixed together. As a visitor to Pirie we would'nt recommend sorry.
