IGA reviews
45This is the only supermarket in town, but it is a very well stocked supermarket with virtually everything you need from clothes to meat, fresh fruit &Veg and bakery items. Also a cafe and icecream/gelato counter. All not badly priced compared to major cities.
Found this IGA a very pleasant oasis in the desert.
Extremely well stocked, lots of variety, fresh produce, great prices for its location, friendly staff. Newsagency, inside coffee shop.
What more could you want?
Many thanks.
The diversity of stock is amazing with high quality fruit and vegetables. The coffee shop is excellent. It's not the only supermarket in Coober Pedy, but its certainly the best!
Well stocked, friendly staff, great place to buy a hot meal. The roast pork and vegies for $12.95 was a steal! Professional and helpful young man served us at the deli he was definitely on the ball.
Don't take yr own shopping bags or you have to pack them yrself. IGA wat happen to the no single use plastic bag policy in SA.
For a rather remote area Coober Pedy IGA has an excellent range.
The food is always of the highest quality.
The staff are always happy, friendly and helpful.
The township of Coober Pedy would be lost with out the IGA
This place has the lot. Actually walked in there expecting it to be small and low on options, but it had everything and very reasonable prices
Good location for this store. Easy street parking. Great variety of products and I was pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn’t as expensive as I expected.
You dont expect to see a shop this good in an area as remote as Coober Pedy. The team here have done a really good job.
Great store, Awesome variety. Had everything we needed. How nice to see a store so well stocked, clean and the staff were lovely. Thanks CARTER IGA, COOBER PEDY
Whenever we are staying overnight at Coober Pedy we buy our drinks and snacks from IGA. The staff are friendly and the store is clean and has plenty of produce. The only item that I can never find is Feelgood iced coffee or any light iced coffee.
Very well stocked store with a great range due to the diversity of the local population. Prices are reasonable for the remote location.
I have shopped here a few times when passing through Coober Pedy. It has a very wide range of products some of which I normally only see in asian supermarkets around Darwin. I didn't take much notice of the price, I drive off to the next suburb to get a better price. The prices seemed reasonable to me.
Friendly staff and it was great to see a great range of goods at reasonable prices. We found a few products cheaper than in Adelaide. Well done,
It's a good little supermarket, lots of variety packed in there for a small town and nice fresh food and toys and extras in the newsagent area. Probably one of the best IGA's I have seen.
Bought the BEST t-bone steak I've ever had - thick, juicy, tender, and a great price. Thanks, Coober Pedy IGA. Please don't EVER change your supplier!
IGA Coober Pedy has a fantastic range for being in the middle of the desert. Great customer service as always. The shelves are always stocked and well presented.
One of the best IGA stores in Australia. Great selection of general groceries, fresh vegetables, fruit and meat. Definitely one of the best deli's in Australia. Great prices. The store's greatest asset? The courteous and smiling friendly staff. Beats anything I've seen in my home state of Queensland or the other three states I've lived in.
Biggest IGA we have ever seen, great range of stuff with a bit of everything got some nice sausages and some bread and had snag sandwiches for dinner the store was great but I think a couple tried to pickpocket my mrs so keep your eyes open for dodgy looking bogans getting in close behind you for no reason. Try the 'bum burner' sticks they are great and we just had to get a bunch to take home and I thought the buffalo sticks were also great.
